what racquet young federer used

    Helo!does anybody know what racquet(specs) federer used when he was young (14, 15,16 years old)?

    He used a retail Pro staff 85, the chinese version, he used full babolat gut string job, and only used little lead in the throat area to match frames, but original balance, maybe around 31.5 cm... hope it helps

    Before the Pro Staff 85, it looked like a blue Wilson Ultra with tapered beam.

    really? do you have any pics of that, because in all pictures of him even when he was around 14 he had a PS 85 with Babolat stripes, meaning full gut...

    he has used a Volkl c10 pro when he was a bit older

    Looks like the FPK Ultra, only one that is Blue.

    no he didn't. there is a cropped picture of him and another player that looks like he is holding a volkl, but they are actually crossing racquets. he is actually holding a 6.0 85

    That's right, and that guy was actually his first coach who tragically died in a crash and was very close to Federer.
