That was pretty inappropriate. I dunno what would happen if he gets caught.

    But good eye though.

Weird. After watching it full screen, it appears that he scratches his butt before raising his finger. I can't tell 100% if it's his middle or index finger. Maybe it was an innocent gesture, but it sure appears to be a flip-off at first glance.

From my screen, it does look like he's flipping Murray off. It's not the index finger, from what I can tell. And the hand seems to be pointing at Murray. But I could be wrong.

If this was Federer instead Murray it would be a revolution here. Since it is not Fed, than it is "no big deal".

    Double standards again.

If it was Federer instead of Murray, I still doubt I'd care that much. They're just ball-boys. In any event, it isn't entirely clear to me that that was his middle finger. The quality of the youtube was pretty low.

He pointed his finger in the wrong direction. The man in the red shirt is over to your left ballboy.

oh brother...the 3 guys are talking to each other and he just lifts his finger up not pointing at anything in particular. I have never seen so many trivial things made into mountains as on thie message board.

probably for a little while if he is reprimanded, but not his entire life. It'll be a funny story he can tell his 64 delinquent grand kids and 9 children in post economically collapsed America.

The large majority of posts are saying the idiot should lose his job. Why do you have such an obsession with victimisation?

He's got Djokovic syndrome. Wants everyone to love him, and when they don't, he in turn tries to make himself the victim and blasts everyone by calling them a racist.

I remember Mary Carillo commentating during one of the matches this US Open saying they get paid pretty much minimum wage.

::edit:: never mind, she was talking about the linesmen.

I watched it several times... are you people sure this was intentional? Since you couldn't hear what the ball-boys were talking about, they could've been talking about something else.

Well ball boys sometimes become tennis pros or umpires. Not sure we need the youth of today with this dude for a leader.

It looks to me as tho 2 for sure of the young men are looking at the back of Andy's head and that clearly was giving a hostile gesture.

He should be dismissed as a ball boy. Andy might have asked for a towel in a grumpy way. I have heard that a lot of the pros have trouble getting their attention. I don't see it when I watch, but then I'm not down there playing.

Totally inappropriate. I wonder how long it will take this video to reach the attention of those that be in power at the U S Open.

Really? A revolution? It was an immature kid giving somebody the finger, it is in fact no big deal. Pretty funny if you ask me. Not that I would encourage it.

Looked to me all three were in on it. The other two urging him on. At least show some respect and do it in front of the guy rather than back stab him Murray with the finger....Lets do a call out -

'whoever knows these two slap them silly for all of us here who are outraged'

Send him to the electric chair.

    Grow up people.

Id say a reprimand is in order and he should be made to write a formal apology to Murray and to the USO Sponsors.

If you've ever met some of the ball kids at a tourney, most (atleast who I've seen) are the biggest brats/jerks/spoiled kids around.

Back in the late 70's I was a ball boy for a WTC match between Nastasi and McEnroe. All during the match Nastasi was complaining about the ball boy on the other side of the baseline from me. Said he wasn't tossing the ball to him right, etc. Finally the ballboy said (loudly) "Hey F___ YOU Nastasi". Nastasi, set his racquet down, walked over to him, and shook his hand.

1.) It might not even be what you think it is.
2.) Who cares? Worst case scenario he should write or offer a verbal apology. Nothing more is needed.

    Reactionary twats.
