I'm leaning towards mp3 players. Any other ideas?

Yeah, I tried that already (please see handsome guy in green shirt in my avatar). ;)

And I'm usually home by 10 pm on my own. :-?

Honestly I never really even thought about it until years later when somebody asked me what I got as groomsmen gift.

I would never buy a groomsman a gift that will become outdated or is merely a fad of the moment. They can buy their own MP3's. I would go with the time honoured tradition of cuff links as someone already mentioned. Depending on the money situation, platinum would be the way to go. IMO. When I was a maid of honour, I believe the gift was diamond earrings. Again, if money is a problem you can go more low key, but I would personally not consider electronics to be an appropriate gift.

In seriousness I would go with something useful that can you can have engraved, I think if you look along those lines you'll be able to find something that will last a lifetime.

The sad matter is some Marriages do not last the length an electronic device is "in-date".

If budget wasn't a problem, maybe watches?

    Tie chains/bars?
    Cufflinks?
    Money clips?
    Some people give flasks...

Watches, flasks, swiss army knives, pens, alcohol, money clip, and cuff links are all things that were suggested to me when I was making the same decision as you.

Engraving whatever you choose is always a nice touch too.

^^I agree with this post for the exception of alcohol. Regardless of how much the gift costs, you want that person to look at it years from now and remember the reason behind it. Personally, I feel the only appropriate time to buy someone alcohol as a gift is during the holidays. I like the idea of a flask for each of them if not the cuff links.

I gave mine engraved cufflinks and had them a shirt made to measure each at my shirtmakers to go with it. Mind you they use them, I probably wouldn't have if it wasn't something they wouldn't use.

i recently got my groomsmen manual nixon watches. i wore the same style watch in a different finish for the wedding. it was fun. i think they were around $85 each, a little pricey, but worth it imo.

Go to dealextreme.com and buy them all a really high powered flash light ;)

Or other gadgets (some of which are completely useless, but cheap!)
