I thought she was a long time user of Tecnifibre 515 and her tension was in the 80 pounds + range.

Yes, Rabbit, Seles uses TF515 and her tension is unreal. 80+lbs. I know TF515 is soft, but at 80lbs ?

Maybe that 80 lb tension is why she was screaming everytime she hit the ball :D

I have read and heard the same ;TF 515 @ 80lbs. That was when she was playing with the RQ-380 and her frame was modified to withstand the higher tensions.

I heard Pam Shriver once in a match saying that Seles used a fairly light racquet strung extremely tightly. I also read somewhere on that at times her tension was going to the 90lbs. She did use some bigger head sized racquets in the past so it could be true to give her more control of course.

Yeah, its all true. I did some stringing for her back in the early 90's. Her Yonex frames were a bit different than the stock models (had a grommet strip all the way around, NOT a bumper guard). Didn't have any trouble putting the TF 515 in at 80lbs. She also wanted it pre-stretched "as much as you can!" I think her frames held an extra cross or two come to think of it.

I never strung any of her Prince frames, but some friends did...and yes definitely 80lbs.
