You just have to know Sensation is the best. Powerful as gut, spinny as poly, and durable as kevlar.... tension maintenance is also like gut.

Pfff .... There is no string on the planet with all of those attributes, and Sensation doesn't even excel at any single attribute you mention. The power return, tension maintenance, stiffness, and COF of just about every string you can buy, has been measured right here in the TWU. This information is also available via The United States Racquet Stringers Association / RSI Magazine. Are you unaware of this?

Sorry man, but I must disagree here. I found sensation to be decent, but not really good at anything and it had HORRIBLE tension maintenance.

Sensation comes pre-strung in the lower tier wilson models that they sell at Sports Authority right? I remember it feeling pretty good at the stock tension.

    Sensation should be named Average.

I know. I'm just joking... I used this when I was in 4th grade. That should tell you what type of people should be using sensation.

    Perhaps it's old stock.
When NXT was first introduced, it was called SensationNXT.
I recall seeing an old(1990's?) RSI playtest of Wilson Sensation NXT.

I guess it doesn't matter since they did not have it in stock at the store I went to, ended up getting head sonic pro edge

Nowadays Wilson uses their leftover stock of Ultra Synthetic Gut for the pre-strung racquets. They used to use Sensation, but it's been a few years.

    This.
Nxt used to be called sensation nxt many tears ago.
Nxt does age. Even in a package. I notice that old stock changes yellowish in color and plays differently...maybe 5-10 years old.

Good. Those strings have horrible tension maintenance. After trying NXT about seven times, the average duration before breaking was 5 hours. I haven't tried Sonic Pro Edge but from what my pals tell me, you made the right choice.

Lol! Love the bashing against sensation string. Like everything in this forum "to each its own". While I use Full bed of gut in Fall-winter-spring, I cant use it in Florida summer and Sensation is my choice as a replacement.

What are you doing up so late? You need to wake up super early for those OTC matches!!:)
Everything is good. Dont have that many people to play and Dgoran invite me to his flex league. But nobody respond me:(. He told me people will start to call when its close to the final days.
I had hit with PP a few time, but need more match time.
Hope everything is good with you and for the love of god pick a string and stay with it!!

I'm not playtesting right now. I've got my GOAT summer setup and winter setups pretty well defined but that won't stop my from testing other strings in the future.

The string is NXT. When it first came out, the package said, "Sensation NXT". It's probably just some older stock. It's still NXT, not Sensation.
