Gosen Polylon is great for the price. Topsin Cyber Flash is as well, but it is more expensive (but still won't burn a hole in your wallet). Besides crisp feel and greater durability, what other properties are you looking for?

Is it better to do. A full bed of poly?

I'd say Cyber Flash (I prefer 17 guage) is worth a try. It's inexpensive, low powered (but still has plenty of pop), lasts a long time (upwards of 20 hours for me), plays very soft on the arm for a poly, and has ample spin; nothing too special, but it's a good all-around poly.
I definitely like it more in a full bed, but it works well as a hybrid too.

Synthetic gut/Poly hybrids last me longer than fullbed. Kirschbaum Super Smash Orange 17G? 4 pack for only $16! $64 worth of that is equivalent to a reel. Mix it up with some Synthetic guts ( Gosen OG Sheep Micro , Technifibre Syn. Gut , Babolat Syn. Gut ) and you got a cheap good string set-up. I would also recommend Technifibre Pro Red Code if your willing to up the price per set.

I agree with the recommendation of Super Smash Orange, but I would prefer it in a full bed rather than a hybrid.
