I mean he's been working pretty hard off court for 2 years and he hired a team of fitness trainers. You should look at his channel on youtube. It has vids of him working out.

Well, he definately looks 'Safinesque' now and probably hits the ball as hard.
I know it's affecting his serve - he blew a 140mph'r past Roddick 2 weeks ago...

However, has he got the stamina?

    Agreed.
Russians are pretty weak when it comes to offensive warfare.

The only time they're effective is when they're backed into a corner, circa 1942.

He has finally decided to take his fitness seriously to reach the next level. He was working out in Miami for the last 3 weeks or so at the U of M doing everything his trainers and nutritionists told him to and more. I think it will pay off for him because he has immense talent.

...the combination of Federer's shot-making, Nadal's court-coverage and Safin's power: he ain't far ioff, IMO.

I think that's something he's picked up on. He very often reaches the goals he sets out to do, one of them he has talked about for this year is to be able to recover after long matches (particularly in the majors) so he can come out playing his best without any ill effect in the next round.

I don't think he has alot of natural stamina, but he's working on it.

LOL.....You obviously never been in a fight if you think just cos Safin had a black eye he lost the fight.....

Safin doesn't seem the type to be getting beaten up!

    Plus he said "he won"

How strong and how much stamina does Murray have?

Well apparently he can do 24 full long arm chin ups with a 10kg weight strapped to his waist.

If he is pointing to his biceps after winning the final I will take it.

he's aiming to become the most muscular guy on tour is he?! The difference between him and Nadal (sorry i'm mentioning him  ) is that Nadal doesn't target those muscles in his workout, but Murray obviously does. If Rafa starts to actually do workouts to target those muscles he'll blow Murray physique out of the water 8)
