I played a set yesterday with a guy that I just met on one of the tennis meet-up websites. I have been studying for the bar exam so I have not had a lot of time to play recently and was expecting to be pretty rusty, and I was. My backhand and forehand were both pretty shaky, but something unexpected happened. Let me preface this with the fact that I am pretty tall and have a really big serve to begin with; however, I have to admit it has never been the most consistent. But anyways, in three different games I was down 15-40 or love-40 and was able to hit multiple huge first serves in a row to get back in and eventually win the game. It was a very close set that I won 6-4. Again, serving for the match I hit 6 first serves in in a row to close it out (after getting broken at 5-3). The moral of the story is that it feels pretty cool when something like that happens. I am sure Roddick and Federer and many of you out there get that feeling all the time, but it was my first time. Yes this is bragging, but it doesn't mean much to my fiance when I tell her about it (not really into tennis), but I wanted to tell someone. What are your experiences with this?
