So there's been quite a bit of discussion, and a lot of people are curious about what's Babolat's next line of racquets.
This has been posted before, but it's pretty hard to find (had to go through a bunch of posts on this thread). So I thought it would be nice to post it for you guys, just to answer some questions.
But to sum it up for you guys, Babolat will be adding Side Cortex, which is Cortex pieces to the 2 sides of the throat. Also, they're bumping up stiffness... by a lot.

This catalog shows what to expect for 2011-12 from Babolat.

    Here's the whole catalog here:
    http://tennisconnected.com/home/2011/01/14/babolat-2011-racket-footwear-and-clothing-catalog/

And to save some hunting around like crazy, I posted the pages that may be the most appealing to us.

    New Side Cortex System:

Specs of Pure Drive Line (yes, that's a stiffness of 74):

Specs of the AeroPro Drive (72 RA):

Specs of the Aero Storm line + Aero Lite (72 RA):

Specs of Pure Storm line (69 RA, 67 for LTD) and Drive Z:

So it doesn't look like any updated paintjobs except for on the pure storm...

I heard that Babolat will offer a free ice pack, PureICE or AeroICE, which the purchase of a new model racquet. No words on the technologies used in the ice packs yet.

I'm not particular fan of Babolats other than PSL, but that's interesting nonetheless. Useful link / pictures even if most of the technology seem to be nothing more than gimmicks.

The increased stiffness of the racquets is just crazy.

Are the specs for weight, balance etc, for strung or unstrung?

Specs are for unstrung. And I agree about the paintjob. I have both the '09 and '11 PS paintjobs. Like the look of the '09 more. Racquets are otherwise the same, just a paintjob change for '11.

I don't know why they don't adopt the styling of the limited edition stuff. It's so much nicer.

For example the Roland Garros bag has a much nicer finish than the Team bag which its based on. Make the Babolat wording smaller, so that the user doesn't look like an advertising hoarding and you've got a very stylish bag. Same with the French Open Pure Drive / AeroPro. They should be adding that to the range. The colour scheme looks alot more interesting.

so much for the Pure Storm line being the "arm friendly" Babolat option.

As I mentioned in another thread, there's no change in the stiffness of the Pure Storm line for 2011. The 69RA (and 67 for the Ltd) is the UNSTRUNG measurement that Babolat lists on the informational hang tags for their Pure Storm racquets.

TW measures RA off a strung racquet, which most other tennis sites also do as well. The RA off a strung racquet will be a bit below (i.e., read more flexible) than its unstrung measurement.

If you grab the same informational hang tags from the 2009 Pure Storm Tour/+/LTD GT line and compare the stiffness listed to the hang tag inserts for the 2011 line, they are the same specs, including the 69RA stiffness. As TW's product pages for the various PS sticks indicate, there is no difference between the 2009 and 2011 lines. The specs are the same. The only difference is the paintjob. I have both the 2009 and 2011 versions of PST and Ltd. GTs, and can confirm this is true.

Likewise, I assume the there has been no stiffness spec bump in any of the Drive/Aero sticks as well, since the numbers listed on those are also consistent with the unstrung stiffness/specs listed informational hang tags for the current line for those sticks as well.

I should note that the catalog is only for this year, not 2012.

Hehehe!! Made with a composition of a Cortex Center to further retain cool air and density!! And GT outer sheel to improve durability!
Results may vary. Side effects include frostbite, worse TE, and loss of respect to the Babolat trademark. =)

The thing about "Limited Edition" is that it's Babolat's way to make great sales. And since it's only in limited supply, that's why it becomes a popular product to buy.
Like have you seen the 125th Anniversary Pure Drive? That is a piece of art, and you can never find those anymore. Why didn't Babolat adopt it? Marketing.
Also, colors resemble racquets. Like how Red resembles 6.1 and Prestige, and how White represents Speed. So it's hard to change a color scheme, especially for popular racquets like the APD and PD.
But I'll admit, the colorway is amazing....

Anyone else notice the "lower end" sticks from Babolat? Maybe Babolat is finally ready to enter mass production, or hit Sports Authority at least.

    Overdrive Line:

    XS Line (New Colors!):

    E-Sense, Pulsion, and Contact Lines:

I know XS was around since the APDC was released. E-Sense and Contact was being rumored around the time the PDGT was released, and some retailers already had it. But looks like an official statement now.

74 Stiffness sounds right. These are unstrung specs. Once strung the measured stiffness drops by a point or two.

I think that's because they post unstrung weight. Strings usually add about .5 ounces, so it's still fine.
Wow, going from Prestige to PD? That's the biggest change ever!

Looks like the Side Cortex is just for their lighter weight models. And have the Aero Storms changed at all? I see no differences in the ones in this catalog and the ones posted on TWE.

The only line that was released is the Pure Storm 2011.
Fall time should be the Pure Drives, while January should be the Aero Line.

    Why call it "limited?"
.....yes, it is "limited" to the number of racquets that can be sold.......

Gosh, they're adding cortex everywhere and yet it seems like most people would rather get rid of it, most pros at least.

That's because the catalog is for 2011, and there are no changes to the Drive and Aero lines for this year according to the Babolat rep I know. The only change that happened was the Storm line, and that was just a change in paintjob. The specs haven't changed for that line, although there are some new sticks like the Storm Team version.

What the? I thought they were gonna go on the Aero and Pure lines.
Lemme check around again, cuz I thought another article said that SC was put on all Cortex racquets.
