I would say yes. I wear poly underwear for tennis and in the heat and humidity down here, it is a far better option than cotton boxers.

Under Armour boxer jocks or Calvin Klein Microfiber shorts work best, in my experience.

    Nothing. Let it hang. :p

Seriously, Under Armor works for me. Very durable material.

I need to find some "performance" UnderArmour or some other athletic underwear that isn't crazily clingy. Tighty whitties seem a little outdated. Plain cotton boxers have their drawbacks. But, at the same time, I cannot stand the super-spandex-y modern underwear, which to me just feel like bicycle shorts-light. So, some sort of light, breathable material. It can be "tight" just not completely form fitting so that there's a spandex, clingy ridge on my legs. Ugh.

I play in quite humid weather and I've never found any need for special measures for down there. Cotton boy legs or trunks are fine.

Wow... 27 euro... $37 for underwear. Most of entire tennis outfits (underwear, shorts, shirt, socks) don't cost that much.

I wear compression shorts. Wicks away sweat and keeps things nice and tidy. I've been wearing BCG shorts from Academy. Cheaper, a little thinner than Under Armour and does not wear out as fast.

This topic comes up fairly often, and I'm always surprised to be in a seemingly tiny minority who wears just a lightweight, wicking jock. I sweat a lot, and can't imagine wearing any more than I have to down there.

For a little more support, try the Nike Pro Combat garment. Very similar to the Under Armour, but a little longer

For the usa folks who like poly undies. Buy them at Ross and stores like that. Good quality ones are usually $6-$8 a pop.

Some of the companies make great underwear, like the Nike Pro Combat and UA. But they are so damn expensive. I just use cotton boxer briefs and they have been fine...but I don't sweat quite that much. Anyone tried the 2 in 1 tennis shorts with build in compression pants? Maybe these might be a good option too.

I've tried them, and my experience is that the inner brief stretches out. That's why I prefer the under armour/normal shorts route.

I wear skins compression shorts. Studies have proven that compression helps with your performance and recovery time.

There has to be enough compression for it to benefit. I doubt most of the compression clothing is actually tight enough.

Look at my post above yours. You can get those shorts at places like Ross for a lot less.

    Speedo swim briefs

I find Speedo swim briefs -- european style -- work best.
They are loose, made out of thin and stretchy fabric, and have a drawcord. They stay put and do not obstruct motion in any way. Poly underwear / poly compression shorts sold in the US are too clingy and too hot.

Jockey has a line called 'Active Mesh' that work well. You can find them on sale for ~ $10 a pop, and they last for years.

I don't think "we all" did that. In spite of what anyone reading some of the posts here might think, not all of us have insecurities about our masculinity or gender orientation.:)

For me, those dreadful but all too common Seven Dwarves' panties are a completely different matter where "eewww" factor is concerned....

One more vote for the poly undie. I do not wear the super tight cut or speedo style. The ones I got are low raise but goes a little longer than briefs. Cotton boxers are OK if you play in cool weather. In summer time they will go soaking wet and sticks up.

I have also used bike shorts (the undie) and they are also good. I buy what is more economical so I go with the poly undie. Not trying to advertise or anything but if you have an uniqlo in your city you may want to check out their undie. I got 2 for like $10. Works well. Just remember to cut off the tag before wearing.

The hair do? Probably not :)

But the short under short look is here. The outer short is just a bit longer and almost over the inner short, like leaving 1-2" out. It's here...

Just wear a decent pair of underpants you bunch of sicko's!!

Poly pants....too stiff for me. Natural gut pants....not good with excess moisture.

Just a decent pair of comfy underpants that stop excess jiggling of the wedding vegetables is fine.
