Yeah, I was surprisingly pleased at the end of Minority Report. Not a bad movie at all.

Watched Sinister the other day, found it very disturbing.

Wouldn't really recommend it unless you are looking to be disturbed.

About Time (2013) - funny, rom comedy which again involves time travel. Added bonus -- nice shots of Cornwall. Some of you may call it "heartwarming but dumb" :D

I did not know Ethan was so B-grade. He was in that trilogy (Before Sunrise etc) which is usually well-rated.
See it and decide for yourself.

I was seeing Predestination while watching the first session of IPTL :)

It was alright. Slightly disappointing from the hype I heard from it. I need to stop that annoying habit (getting hyped up, and then a big slap in the face)...

^^Tusk and The Babadook are indeed great movies. A christmas horror movie you should watch is called "rare exports".

Thank you. Is Babadook really scary ? or just good movie ? and I was bit suspicious about Tusk because Rotten tomatoes gave it mediocre rating.....is Tusk really good too ? I am seriously considering watching both of these movies.......

^^I thouht the idea of the Babadook and how they ran with it was great, and also slightly creepy :). It has gotten awesome reviews as well. Should watch. Tusk is more stranger though......

Will check out if you say so.

Yeah, after the placidity of this forum, I really need to be shaken up a bit. Got it, but been waiting for a quiet night to see it.
Got it (have a screener). Will see it asap.

Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005) - George Clooney, David Straitharn (Oscar nomination). Interesting movie.

This Boy's Life (1993) - Real life story of Tobias Wolff's rough childhood. Robert DeNiro, DiCaprio. Interesting and touching.

    Saw the movie "TUSK"

it was OK, give it 3.5 stars out of 5.

bit too far fetched. acting was good. A human being that has gone thru that extensive of surgery can't possibly survive it...

^^It's based on a man who befriended a walrus while he was living in Alaska, and put an online ad out offering free rent to anyone who would dress up as a walrus for two hours a day and stay with him. He even created the bloody walrus costume!

The Seventh Seal(1957). Don't know about this one,was a little too abstract for me. I did enjoy Persona a few days ago though...

Yeah, I think Persona is awesome. Really taps into some psychological/existential themes, and it is so visually beautiful as well. Have been meaning to see The Seventh Seal as well, so will find out if I like it.

No,that will probably be the next one. Just trying to see some of Bergman's stuff since he was probably the most famous director I'd never seen anything by...

Yeah if you're interested in film it's worth checking out people like Bergman. His movies are really emotionally draining though. I've never rewatched anything by him.

I guess coocoos nest made an impact LOL. Great film by the way. he has another one you might like from that time frame. I think its called The Last Detail. He plays kind of a similar character. No Nurse Ratchet though. Great job by that actress. Everyone is fantastic in that film. I would say its ....a perfect film.

also....check out The Dream Team. Its basically a remake almost sequel with more of a comic twist. Micheal Keaton plays the Nicolson role and does a great job. It even has some of the same actors. Not quite as moving and dark as coo coos nest but its a really fun film. One of my favorites from Keaton. He is an extremely underrated actor and doesnt do much anymore other than play around on his ranch.

anyways... Your mom will probably like Dream Team as well. Did you try Cocoon yet?

I've got Cocoon, and I suspect I've seen it in the 90's if its that movie in which people are sitting in a pool, and they have this great experience and someone says: if that's foreplay I wonder what the real thing will be like.

Will check out the others. List is tooooo long.

Sinister - sadly found it quite silly. not even anything very original. I guess after The Walking Dead, it's hard to be disturbed by anything :)

Guardians of the Galaxy. Watched it on Thanksgiving. Couldn't hear some of the quieter talking parts because the conversation in the other room was too loud, but it was still entertaining.

Just saw Cocoon - nice. Would have definitely gone off with them if I had the chances. Not to live forever, but to see other civilizations, my primary goal.

I've also got hold of The Dream Team and The Last Detail.

Fried Green Tomatoes - interesting, touching story. Jessica Tandy is really beautiful in old age.

Also saw, The Cocoon - the Return (1988), and The Mirror Crack'd (1980) Liz Taylor, Rock Hudson. This one is based on the true story of Gene Tierney (acted in Laura, The Ghost and Mrs Muir and others) who lost her baby when she contracted German Measles during pregnancy due to a kiss from a fan who broke out of quarantine to meet her.
