Mockingbird Don't Sing
Saw Eclipse last night. The best of the three so far.... but that's not saying much.
A solid 5/10, and only because there was a battle scene between wolves and """vampires"""
Problem is they did that in Underworld and Van Helsing. The Twilight films do nothing original and make Vampire movies look like a bunch of whiny little girls.
I watched We Were Soldiers. A great Vietnam movie that I enjoy very much.
Glad to help you indulge in your fantasies about Takeshi Kaneshiro.
I watched "The Uninvited" last night, the American remake of the excellent Korean horror film/thriller "A Tale of Two Sisters". Not bad as far as remakes go, but like most remakes, rather pointless.
Weird title choice (well for me anyway) since there's another good Korean horror film called "The Uninvited".
star wars episode 1
good movie, solid fight scene at the end
The Ugly Truth on DVD.
What is film criticism but just another person's opinion? (Btw, I think 'Casablanca' is overrated as well.) What, to you, is the difference, and why would it matter?
I haven't looked at all. But I have noticed the many awards, many favorable reviews, and heard many people speak of the movie favorably -- including the person I saw it with. What more would you like me to do?
Now, you know my style-Asian guys. Have you watched the movie "njinga assassination" (I am not sure the exact name of the movie). That main Korean actor is so cute.
I saw Eclipse this morning, not too bad of a movie. I'm a guy as well. Also the guy on the pic above is Rain, hes a Korean star and singer. The movie is Ninja Assassin.
Still awaiting the sequel, Remember.
I'm still awaiting the sequel to the wonderful JFK biography "Reckless Youth", even though the writer said 10 or 15 years ago that he decided he wasn't actually going to write it after all. But there's always hope!
Since there is Hamlet 2, there is Hope.
Toy Story 3. Good.
I've been a member of blockbuster for sometime now taking advantage of the 3 movie at a time deal been watching a lot of movies/tv's lately. Here's some of my recommendations
"Story of Anvil" was very inspiring/heartbreaking. If you like rock I might enjoy this one
"Flammen and Citronen" was reality movie about WWII
"Thirst" was about priest who becomes a vampire after blood transfusion goes wrong. Kinda quirky/funny but also some gruel scenes. Same director as "old boy" I highly recommend both movies if you're head is messed up
"Seabiscuit" was surprisingly good. Probably because I love horses and underdog stories
"Army of Darkness" good oneliners, sorta funny... Bruce Cambell gives good performance
Debbie does Dallas
Hot Tub Machine = The Hangover in the 80's.
Awesome movie! Not as great as The Hangover but great for laughs.
Going to see Eclipse tonight.
Let me know if it is a good movie, CC. Thanks. -Tina
Black Dynamite... pretty funny if you're in to Blacksploitation films.
Funnier than I'm Gonna Get You Sucka?
Just as much physical comedy, but has a lot of play on words, funny dialogue and exchanges, cut scenes, and some female nudity.
I thought it was the best of the three so far Tina. I was horrified when the viewing audience erupted in applause not once, but twice, but the story was entertaining. I'm invested now after seeing the first one...I want to see it play out.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is a very good film adapted from a very good novel.
Then, I am looking forward to watch this movie. Thanks, CC.
Just watched this one with my wife and we both loved it. for those who subscibe to NETFLIX, it's on instant view. Can't wait for The Girl Who Played With Fire to reach where I live (it just released in NY yesterday).
I just saw "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" again on DVD but I watched it with the English soundtrack so no subtitles. I read all the books after I saw the first film in the theatre. They changed the screenwriter and director for the 2nd and 3rd films. The reviews haven't been very good for the 2nd film although it's supposed to be more faithful to the book.
Just finished Red Cliff and thought it was really good. Nice to watch a movie with a happy ending. Thought it was funny how John Woo somehow found a way to incorporate white doves, again, into his film.
Invention of Lying - Loved it although some people hated it.
Clash of the Titans 2010 - Slightly changed story from the original, but I liked it.
Unthinkable - Good movie but disturbing to say the least.
Date Night - Slow and kinda funny, but I love Tina Fey so I'm a bit biased
Cop Out - Not funny at all.
Brooklyn's Finest - Certainly not one of Fuqua's better movies but it's ok.
Ip Man - Probably the best martial arts movie I have ever seen. Donnie Yen rocks
Ip Man 2 - Good, but not as good as the original.
Dough nuts don't wear alligator shoes!
Shrek The Final Chapter 3D. Really cool, I think one of the best 3Ds animated movies.
Resident Evil, the first one
-IMO a pretty funny film considering the fact that it has nothing to do with the game except the zombies, mansion and Umbrella, maybe the lab also
Tears of the sun
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
I have this qeued in my Netflix instant play.
BTW check that movie Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles. Check the trailers first......you will like it.
Frida Kahlo, really good movie, the soundtrack is amazing.
"Bak. Derk-derk-Allah. Derka derka, Mohammed Jihad. Haka sherpa-sherpa. Abaka-la."
"I've got five terrorists going southeast on Bakalakadaka Street!"
Eclipse (not my choice!)
Up in the air. Thought it was amazing, would compare it to Thank you for Smoking.
The Lost Tribe. I don't recommend this one though.
Perder Es Cuestion de Metodo - pretty good movie from Columbia. Female lead is very easy on the eyes.
that movie was really funny!
A couple of weeks ago I went to watch Toy Story 3. I was really excited, since I still remember when I watched the first one 14 years ago. Almost cried when Andy left Woody with the little kid
Great action movie, I really enjoyed it. The duel between the Asian guy and the big predator was sick
Despicable Me in 3D
This movie reflects on my career.
I love this movie a lot. I am also collecting mileages to become a gold member.
The Russian film Night Watch (Ночной дозор). There is also a Danish film titled Nightwatch (Nattevagten), which was pretty good, and an American remake of Nightwatch, which got bad reviews and I never watched.
Inception-hardcode movie ^_^.
Happily Ever After
Please pay attention to Johnny Depp.
Birdemic: Shock and Terror. Probably one of the best movies ever, watch it you won't be disappointed
