Hachiko A dogs tale, such a sweet and sad movie.
Do you check torrents? They have a lot of old stuff
Here's Rashomon on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XZCZHXmWbA
The last movie I just watched is a movie called Hatchet.
Here is a screenshot from the movie(he's the antagonist)
I saw Up for the first time this past weekend. Hands down, the best animated movie ever created. Makes it into my top 10 favorites as well.
ehm I prefer to stream because it's much easier and faster way.
Oh yeah thanx for the link.If you find Tokyo Story or Tokyo Monogatari too please do post.
oh btw the last movie I watched is Sunrise Song of two Humans.Highly Recommended.
Imo the best movie of the last year-of the ones I managed to watch- and definitely from the other oscar nominees. So touching.
Makes me look even more forward to ToyStory3.
observe and report, pretty funny
Four Christmases. Not good.
Just finished Rocky I. Classic movie.
You "normally" like Vaughn and Favreau but you were disappointed by Swingers? What movie did you like with those two? It's far and away their best film.
I saw The Crazies. Pretty good.
The Bounty Hunter. Was pretty good and had its jokes, but the Ugly Truth was better.
The Brother's Bloom, 500 Days of Summer and Martyrs. All in the past couple days.
I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about MADE from some of my friends.
Shutter Island. I really enjoyed it.
Nope. I do believe the thread title clearly states "What was the last movie you watched?" Specify please?
I saw that one in the theater a couple weeks ago. Tomorrow I'm checking out Alice in Wonderland. Is it just me or does Depp look like Madonna in it?
What did you think of it, CC?
I liked it. I had been looking forward to it for a long time and it was even better than what I thought it would be. I like to be stumped (which is a rare thing with movies) but this one had me until the end.
Okay okay, I'll be specific. I just named those because I had already seen them but felt like watching them again. Brother's Bloom was the last one I watched. But the last movie I watched that I haven't seen before was "House of the Devil".
malakas, i have the DVD of the original Maltese Falcon, you can always swing by Asia and borrow it from me.
Last movie I saw in Theaters was Alice in Wonderland in 3D. I thought it was amazing. I've always been a fan of the book. The movie sort of mixed elements from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass so not exactly true to the orginal but extremely entertaining nonetheless.
The Hurt Locker
Very good suspense, great images, well acted, and a good sense of the day-to-day tension these kids go through during war.
A bit too hollywood at times though (the laid back attitude of the hero) with a few action sequences.
Not the best oscar-winning war movies in my opinion though. Not too deep in thoughts.
I found "No Man's Land" (2001 Best Foreign Language oscar) about the Bosnian War better.
LOL!!! Time wasted plus interest!
Saw Alice in Wonderland tonight and was pleased. My friends and I were the only ones in the theater to laugh and I adored Chester. I recommend this one...great visuals and well done overall.
World's Greatest Dad
Don't read anything about it, don't check out the reviews, just watch the movie.
Sounds like you may like independent films. check out "Against the Current"on your TV's 'on demand' menu.
I just got done watching Assault of the Sasquatch on itunes. It was a good movie that starred youtube celebrities Shawn and MJ.
Here is the cover art(the sasquatch is the antagonist)
hehe thanx Senti how nice of you. but better how about the Pather Panchali?
I watched today La Règle du jeu by Jean Renoir. How is this movie considered one of the best ever is beyond me.:-? and every male character seemed to be soo madly in love with the protagonist jeeez.
damn it!I just lost interest right there. What an interesting movie it could have been otherwise.
foreign correspondent, was good 8/10
I just got done watching a movie called Dead Snow. Its a movie about Norweigans who fight German zombies who come back from the dead from ww2, its a good movie.
Here are a few pics from the movie.(these are the antagonists)
Where do you find these movies Q?
Nightwatch. I actually saw Daywatch first even though it's the
I watched "Blind Side". It was better than I thought it would be.
Sandra Bullock looked great in the film as a blonde.
I just saw Polanski's "The Ghost Writer". I liked it very much.
I found them on zune on the xbox 360, itunes, and amazon video on demand.
And have you seen Thaw yet? It made me scratch for two days.
Will be finishing New Moon tomorrow and will give my thoughts.
oh the russian? I was amazed at the size of the production and the special effects it very well pass like a hollywood movie.
I just watched A Bout De Souffle. What an amazingly good movie. What a visual style and dialogues. It may become my favourite movie.
I don't know if the rest of the french new wave movies are like that too.
Orphan. I thought it was good.
Just watched shutter island and Edge of Darkness. I thought both of these films were fantastic. If you like Taken, see Edge of Darkness.
That movie was really creepy.
Ponyo. It was pretty good.
But, which was the LAST movie you saw?
I watched New Moon today at work and was not happy. I found it to be depressing and unexplained. Mind you, I believe if one were to read the book it makes it a more enjoyable experience. Damn you Edward you insufferable jerk! Ahh...young love and heartache.
Tomorrow night is Brothers and I will give my thoughts.
Killer Nerd and Bride of Killer Nerd
Well I just got done watching the movies Killer Nerd and Bride of Killer Nerd. Its a double feature that includes both movies which is dubbed the "Killer Kollectors edition" on the cover. Killer Nerd is basically about a nerd who was picked on in high school and decides he wants to take revenge on his tormentors.
Here's the cover art of the original Killer Nerd which I watched probably 10 years ago.(the guy on the cover is the antagonist)
And here is the cover of the double feature which I watched both movies earlier today.
It takes me a while sometimes Quest but I just got it. No worry...your secret is safe with me.
Watched "The Men Who Stare At Goats" last night. meh....it had its moments, but i thought from the previews that it would be better. Not really a bad movie, but definitely not the best i've seen. just so-so.
Up in the air was brilliant...also watched a favorite 'oldy but goody' of mine, Boiler room.
the crazies on the computer
I haven't seen The Thaw yet but I may have to check it out, I just read the synopsis of the movie and it seems interesting.
I read this article a while back, that said that Microsoft employs more millionaire secretary's that any other company in the world. They took stock options over Christmas bonuses. It was a good move. I remember there was this picture, of one of the groundskeepers next to his Ferrari. Blew my mind. you see **** like that, and it just plants seeds, makes you think its possible, even easy. And then you turn on the TV, and there's just more of it. The $87 Million lottery winner, that kid actor that just made 20 million o his last movie, that internet stock that shot through the roof, you could have made millions if you had just gotten in early, and that's exactly what I wanted to do: get in. I didn't want to be an innovator any more, i just wanted to make the quick and easy buck, i just wanted in. The Notorious BIG said it best: "Either you're slingin' crack-rock, or you've got a wicked jump-shot." Nobody wants to work for it anymore. There's no honor in taking that after school job at Mickey Dee's, honor's in the dollar, kid. So I went the white boy way of slinging crack-rock: I became a stock broker. Great flick. Going to see How to train your Dragon at the Drive-in while we still have one.
