Gasland. Interesting movie.
Edward Scissorhands. In my opinion still the best movie ever made.
Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives:
Interesting buddhist meditation on death. You'll leave the theatre
either enjoying it or pissed off.
The plot has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese, but I still enjoyed
More of an "experience" than a movie. No plot to speak of, it's akin to trying to interpret an abstract painting. Certainly not for mainstream movie audiences who might get pissed off simply trying to pronounce Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
I enjoyed it. "Tropical Malady" is also quite good.
I only saw it once, and remember thinking it was pretty good. So if I had to watch "Crash" or any movie on your list again, I'd go for "Crash".
I watched Cabin Fever 2 last night, it was pretty good. If it wasn't for the character Winston, the movie would have sucked.
Rio, awesome movie!
whats that movie where the guy grows younger into a baby
Ernest Grows Up
"Win Win" is a pleasant family-oriented film, amusing at times, instantly forgettable.
Red Riding Hood - tbh, there's not much scope to do any more with the story. Well shot.
Ollinger, you should rent "Against the Current" sometime and let us know what you think of its portrayal of a suicidal person from a psychiatrist's perspective.
I'll ask my wife to netflick it
Mambo Italiano.......it was a nice and funny!! Paul Sorvino was awesome and funny as heck.
"Friday" starring newcomer Rebecca Black is pretty good.
The Recruit - underrated
Tucker and Dale vs Evil - funny
not bad, a bit too much like Bourne with a twist
....in blu-ray. Absolutely incredible...
The King's Speech
^^ I saw King's Speech, good one, the Aussie therapist was the bad pirate in Caribbean or is it Carribean?
Caribbean looks right to me, I could be wrong
"Blade Runner" and "The Fifth Element" are the last movies I watched.
Sci-fi action film directed by Kenneth Branagh??? Expectably it has Shakespearean and Greek mythological elements to it but "Thor" proved to be fairly entertaining. Anthony Hopkins seems to have a real taste for playing non-humans late in his career, with almost as much makeup here as he wore in Wolfman.
Thor, but 3D killed it
Swyped from my iPhone killer/HTC Desire
Scott Pilgrim Vs the world, really funny ...
'The great global warming swindle'
Awesome display of swindling proportions.
The Road. Awesome movie, really tough to watch at times but totally worth it.
I did not get around to watching "Black Swan" in the theater, so I watched it on DVD. I think it is overrated and definitely not one of Aronofsky's best films.
Heard it was good.. is it realistic?
The last movie I watched was the Human Centipede, it sucked, stay as far away from this movie as possible. It had an interesting concept but it played out so poorly. It was such a slow moving movie and the main antagonist sucked.
No, it doesn't get any bleaker than "The Road." I think people in the audience were committing collective suicide in the theatre when I saw it.
The Chaser, a Korean film, and it's on Netflix. Love the movie and I have read Hollywood is planning to do their version, it will be bang up job for sure.
I would think so, it doesnt go into details about what happened to the earth, it just shows it as a completely desolated place, but it does do a good job reproducing a really bad scenario but still a posibility.
Yep, my wife actually opened her laptop and started to work in the middle of the movie, after the movie I had to watch a few re runs of two and a half men to put my mind in another place before going to sleep... but a good movie nonetheless (IMHO).
Just saw Black Swan, from the same director I like The Wrestler better. The BS is good though, I have to ask though, did she or did she not kill Beth (Old Queen Swan), I mean a lot of the things she imagined were cleared on the movie but I am not sure about this one.
Finished watching "Tyson" last night. If you like Tyson, you'll like this movie. If you don't, you still won't after watching this movie. But I've always been a Tyson fan, so I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Any opinion on the new X-Men movie? Dbl feature this week w/new Pirates this week at Drive-in.
Takers. the best movie in history of movies
X Men First Class
Anyone else thought the guy that played Riptide resembled David Ferrer.
Saw an Italian film "The Double Hour" this weekend, a noir-ish, Hitchcock-esque romantic intrigue, fairly entertaining and involving. Timely too, as it features (not important to the plot) European business types in a hotel sexually harassing the maids.
good day to have an affair. korean film. not bad
X men first class------>won't dissapoint. Much better then the previous movies
Hangover 2. Absolutely terrible.
The Men that stare at Goats. I really liked it.
Limitless....I really liked it
Blackswan. I was impressed, less intense than two of his earlier flicks like Requiem or Pi imo, which made for a stronger film yet felt right in tune with those two.
But this all depends on what you are looking for in an Aronfsky film. Personally I was not intrigued by The Wrestler or The Fountain.
A bit gory. But inspirational.
