What do you guys think? He'll have a few tough draws in the beginning, but I think he should easily get back into top 20, probably top 15.

We can switch Berdych's and Simon's ranking. Simon would probably make more use of it instead of losing every second match since July 2010

I think #3 right before Federer.

I would say in top 20! He would have to play better than he did it agianst Federer in order to pass the seeds at MS and GS events to get more points!

I think there's a fair amount of top 10 seeds he could've beaten today.

I think top 20 at best. I dont think he will ever get back to where he was in 2008. I didnt think he was amazing last night. His play didnt surprise me much. Roger just played awful.

I don't think he'll ever return to the top 10 - sure he plays Federer well but that's a more a match-up issue than anything else. I think top 20 is more likely.

Agreed. Great returns, knows how to frustrate an opponent and seize his chance quickly. Are people forgetting he used to be number 6?

Did they miss that he picked up the Sydney championship in warmup week?

Roger didn't play badly. His UEs and concentration lapses were nowhere near what they used to be. Gilles played well, and Roger had to earn his victory.

Sometimes I think people are critical just to be critical.

Michael would have beaten Roger today. Heck, Pam would have beaten Roger today, plus every of the six Cylons from Battlestar Galactica!

I'm pretty sure that if he doesn't get injured he'll be in the Top 10.
