This Wilson MID 93 Advantage Plus has a white butt cap with SKQ code (St. Vincent?). It looks like some kind of Pro Staff with 93 inch head size. It weight 348 grams (synthetic grip+1 over grip) 11 PTs HL. I saw one on -bay but it's white and named Wilson Advantage 93. Anyone has any info on this racquet?

Wow! A 93 sq. in. box beam Wilson with PWS? Where has this racquet been all my life? And why wasn't it more popular?

It came out around '86 as far as I can tell.

The last of the Wilson box-beams just prior to the release of the Profile and the wide-body craze.

There was a line of frames that came out of Taiwan in 93 and 110 head sizes.

    I've got a Graphite 93 and the Advantage 93 and 110.

The Advantage frames I have are white (pearly) with green and grey stripes.

I don't know the layup, but with the 93 sq. in. frames, they're very much the box-beam, 16 x 18, PWS frames that a lot of Wilson PS85 fans have been crying out for.

I wonder what makes the frame shown above "Plus" compared to the Advantage that I have. I'd prefer the black paintjob.....

Thanks for the info. How do you like your white Advantage 93? I took it out for a little hit today and it has a nice feel to it. Easier to swing compares to my Hyper PS 6.0 95 . I need a new string job (NG:) ) to really tell how its plays. Will report back.

I'm not sure what "Plus" stands for but for sure has nothing to do with the length. This racquet is 27 inches long.

BTW Does your white Advantage 93 has a white butt cap and 3 letter code? Do you know the weight and balance? Thanks

No, the ROK didn't have a box beam and didn't really have PWS (same kind as PS 6.0), it just had minor bumps at 3 and 9. It also was much more evenly balanced than this Advantage Plus 93.

    Very interesting.....thanks.

Interesting you said that it came out around '86 but that it was made in Taiwan because at that time, the PS 6.0 85 was still being made in St. Vincent and production didn't move to Taiwan until around '91-'92. I wonder why Wilson wouldn't have also made these Advantage 93's in St. Vincent? In fact, the butt cap code of this one the OP is asking about is "SKQ", which means it probably was made in St. Vincent.

Looks very similar to this racquet that I just picked up two of and mentioned in another thread. 350g, 18mm box beam, 16x18 pattern, string at 55-65 lbs. One has the original leather grip and is in great shape, the other has a replacement gamma grip and has more scrapes in the paint.

Let me know how it plays. I also found a Pro Staff 6.0 95 today with rough paint and needing a new grip at a swap meet for $2. I was thinking about getting the Pro Staff restrung, but if this plays nice I may do this first as the Pro Staff is really a grip size too small.

Price tag residue, not chips in the paint:

Here is a pic I found of the Pro Avenger 93 that also looks very similar.
