Kozlov is 60 in the world ITF, playing a limited schedule since he is a 14 year old. There should be a limit as to how many tournaments he can play. So being 60 ITF at 14 with a limited participation goes to show that he is capable of more than his ranking would suggest. He has wins over top 10 ITF guys and has faced serves north of 120 miles an hour. Neutralizing Serena s power shall not be a problem for Kozlov, moving her around with his variety of shots to places on the court where she rarely finds herself is also a given. He will outplay her, I presume. However, will he be able to outcompete her. She is, after all, Serena. Tough call but if I were to bet money, I would not bet against 14 GS even though i Think that Kozlov will beat Serena 8 out of 10 times they will play.

That one match they will play where the winner takes all, I would have to go with a proven record of Serena. Kozlov is used to beating boys or men, where in every match he enters, he has an advantage being the underdog. Here, the field is somewhat leveled and he plays a woman that according to his accomplishments he should be able to beat. Psychological aspect will take over an actual tennis ability and skill and Serena will step up and probably win.

Bad analogy, physical size and strength is much more important in basketball.

Kozlov would win. She has nothing to hurt him with. He would have her so off balance with his variety and his drop shot would make her look really bad.

First stop at Jupiter should be at what club ? Then over to Boca resorts anymore thought on the other player were interested in and 8 yr old freak I have to see with my own eyes ?

On to this subject Kozlov beats Serina ,last time DB played with here sis ,DB stuggled to not hit heavy rollers or kick serves as the ralley became not and the kickers were unreturnable ,,,having said that when when DB flattened out forehands and backhands she handled that and flat serves effortlessly ,,

Kozov would stuggle in the 1 st set then find his range and what neede to be done and Koz would walk away with it .

    BTw Tenniscp thanx

Every top girl DB has been ask to "keep" the ball in front of he goes and everytime he turns it up the ladys just laugh at how a young man can take beyong their abilitys real fast , DB is bigger and stronger then Kozlov but when ask DB in a real match how would you beats Serina his answer "move her side to side and hit drop shots and angles" NOT power. ,,this would be right up Kozlov's alley he would frustrate her with his abilitys , once again Kozlov wins set score 6 4. 6 2

5'5. That's little ,she was white and she would beat Serina quittes a bit and sometimes Serina Venus then Clister back to back to Back ,,Justine Hennin was far superior to Serina half her size and well we all know how it went .

Do you go to Rev.Wrights church ? As for the athletic women against a man there is no comparrison ,women are at a sub standard when it comes to sport unless your and Athletic Black women named Marion who hung out at Balco .

Maybe we should see where Serina gets her vitamins ?

Were talking the same kid Kozlov that warmed Federer up 2 or 3 in a row at Us open ,my guess is Kozlov really sucked , couldn't keep up with Feds ball so the greatest of all time chose this kid in the middle of the US Open to give Kozlov hitting lessons ????

Higher education on here arguing and leaving out common sence and recent history .

Fed would win no doubt and I can guarrentee there would be some very solid ralleys through the match that Serina would not be able to contend with ,, that is the thread here and like I said my player has been on court with the top females and the ones mentioned and each time its the same story "man its hard to lower the level of my ball without them crushing it " but "if I hit theway I do the ralleys end early"
Once again I have seen it with my "own" eyes in person. Kovlov would win !

She has her return of serve to hurt him, and no one has addressed that point, which another poster already made. He is young and relatively short, and Serena is very effective at attacking weaker serves.

Agree, reason top pros hit with top juniors is giving back to the game. It's customary for top pro to have hitting sessions with top juniors.

It's a easy/stress less hit for the pros.

    Easy win for Serena

I'm not sure why I'm being lumped in with the kept up with Fed comments. Warm ups during a Grand Slam, just getting into a good groundstroke groove is one thing. I think training matches during the offseason are quite a step above that in terms of realism of who is at what level.

I already ceded your point that Serena may work on things in these training matches. But if you think the Williams sisters are fine with being taken down the majority of the time by only decent D1 college players, and aren't out there trying to win - then I think the fact that you have a daughter is clouding your judgment bigtime.

Left my e-mail if you're interested a few posts back. (Maybe some people are assuming that e-mail account is a joke - nope, I actually set it up back when I was sparring with Brad.)

How do you know she will come out with a certain plan?????you just read in what you want ,YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO SEE WITH YOUR OWN EYES!

Her sister came out did some warm up then some Isloation then went to live baseline ralleys "she didn't hold back" and I admit she hit flat and in the beginning DB struggled with it for about 4 to 6 ralley did took it to the heavey rollers and the practise went south real fast , so he had to back off to keep it competitive , trust me she was pissed to lose even one ralley in pratice "she and her sis are pro's" Quit insulting the sisters and their integrity .

I was at Mouratoglou tennis academy today and ran into two # 1 players in the world Hingis and Serena training. They are so fit especially Serena that I doubt top jr. in the world can beat them.

    That's awesome.

Why is Hingis training? Any idea? Is she thinking about making a return to the tour?

Sorry I left but will be back in the summer with my top juniors.

The trainers there said that both Serena and Hingis beat their #1 French jr. who was 17 years old.

She can come back and can beat anyone on the tour but you have to do it five time in one week, every week. Not sure she has the passion for it. She is happy training and being a consultant at mouratoglou for now. The real hulabalu is Serena and Patrick. When I was there Reuters were there, lots of tension in the air, rumors floating around, Serena might be engaged to Patrick:confused: etc.....

It would be very exciting for women's tennis if Hingis made a real attempt at a comeback.

    Isn't Patrick already married?

I sure hope not for Serena's sake. Hope she won't let her personal life interfere with the next (last) 2-3 years of her career because she has a real shot to break the grand slam record if she stays focused.

Did you see Sachia Vickery? How is her game looking?
