To spend? It is too little for a vehicle and too much for a doodad. I would take 2 big vacations.

Pure excitement here. Purchase a new washer & dryer, then pay off one of my automobiles.

Definitely get rid of this stoopid minivan that has 120K miles on it. I would put the money toward a Camry hybrid.

Pay off my student loans and save the rest for grad school. Really, $10K isn't life changing money. I don't know anyone that would flat-out quit their job if they won $10K, unless it's at some burger place. But as far as quitting your career and living on $10K for the rest of your life, nah. Not possible.

    I'd probably fritter it away...

Actually no, I'd spend it on broadcast equipment. Camera, microphone, lights, dolly's, anything else I've forgotten.

Of course depending on the camera 10k probably wouldn't even get me that, but every little helps.

That reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Bart gets $500 after eating a metal Krusty-O.

Krusty: "Imagine what you could do with $500"

Bart: (Imagines he is in Vegas) "$500 on red"

Roulette Worker: "Number is 35 black"

Bart: (Coming back to reality) "Cool".

The same I do with the money I get in now: put it in my bank and keep saving.

There's really not anything that I want right now that I couldn't afford already, and what I really want - an apartment - I still couldn't afford with another $10.000. Might use some of the money for another trip to Thailand, though during summer this time, when it's cheaper.
