low bounce spin heavy to no man's land to lure the player in for a bad position??

    or

flatter shot to baseline, pushes player back but easier for him/her to pick up

Why would a flat shot to the baseline easier to pick up?

Depends on your opponent and what you do with your next shot. To many factors to say which is better.

Definitely depends on your opponent. I know if you gave me the chance to come into no man's land I would just hit a deep corner shot (probably to your backhand) and come up and volley one away. If you kept me deep it'd be harder for me the win the point.

Depends on the opponent. Mix it up a little and see how they react.

I personally prefer topspin to right on or near the baseline, make em hit on the rise no matter what. I personally think heavy topspin is favorable as if it is heavy, even if it bounces in the middle of no man's land they are going to have to take it on the rise unless they are farther back from the baseline and topspin does bring consistency.
