I'm thinking Ashaway 17g Kevlar with Gosen Micro 17 in the reel right now
I have this crappy Clarke 17g Kevlar/synthetic in my racquet right now and like the feeling of it. Good control, not much power, and it's not bothering my elbow/shoulder the way Poly's were doing. It's in a Babolat PC strung at 67lbs mains/crosses.
Synthetics last me a day. Gut about 2 days. Poly's about 5 days.
I'm thinking 17 g because before the 17g Kevlar, i had this 17g Gamma Synthetic gut and it had good control. 17g seems to give a stiffer more boardy string bed. Less power but definitely better control. Also more bite on the ball.
i'm open to all suggestions.
