I'm using the yonex super grap but I was just wondering what is up with leather grips I'm no expert on grips but don't people usually find grips that's tacky since you don't want to feel like your racket is going to fly off your hands anytime, I mean what are the functions of a leather grip? Is it any good? Why is it nice?

I use the Yonex super grap over a leather grip. You can feel the bevels of the handle better with leather replacement grips. It will also add extra weight to your frame and make it more head light.

Nice sharp bevels. Feel the feed back better. Adds tail-weight. And leather grips are tacky too.

I also use it for the sharp bevels and the feel, but what initially got me into it was the consistency of the shape reagardless of the usage. With synthetic grips after a couple of months the shape of the grip changes and it was producing me blisters on my hands, I changed to leather and it has not happened anymore.

I also find leather grips give a plusher feel of the stringbed. With a synthetic, I get a metallic, hollow sort of feel but leather eliminates that

I replace most of my frames w/TW leather grip + a layer of thin overgrip, just because I like that solid feel...not soft and mushy feel of most synthetic grips...
