Back before Goodyear Indy 500 rubber and Nike Air Resistance, lucky to get one month on a pair of shoes. Glad duct tape was cheap.

Back when school was in session. I would have tennis 5 days a week, and it was usually about that time period.

I had Nike Breathe Free II, and they lasted me the whole season. I were out the traction on the shoe in about 3 months I think. Our season was Feb - Beginning of April. I just recently got new shoes in the middle of May.

You've got that right! Those Nike tennis shoes with the big light blue swoosh back in the late '70's used to last me about a week - if I was lucky! :(

Depends also on if you are playing hard courts or clay. Depends on the shoe manufactor and the shoe model. The barricade 4's last a while but the climacool's don't, really depends on shoe model. Usually I buy shoes 3-4 times a year. Once before Summer, once in the fall, and then right before the tennis season starts for school. My BFII's have about 1 month of them and are already getting pretty worn.

Geez! Depends on a lot of things. Which shoes, how often you play and what type of player you are. I would say 3- 4 months for the 6 month warrenty shoes that is if you play at least 3 days a week.
