Someone told me it was a prestige paint job but I didn't think it was.
SEARCH, discussed in detail with pictures MANY MANY times...
PT630 (PT57A) with a 16x19 string pattern (he did use the 18x20 pattern at the FO recently)
18x20? Wow, how did I miss that. I wonder what his thinking was?
Well, the new Radical was trash, so he had to use some kind of head product.
He's used the same head product since he was a kid. Has nothing to do with the new Radical...
What are you talking about its been the same racquet for the last decade(ish)
1. You can use the Search tool.
2. Are you asking a statement in the thread title.
I heard a commentator say he uses the 16 x 19 for the whole yr, except for grass court season, where he switches to the 18 x 20 because he wants a flatter ball.
I've heard commentators say crap over the years...
He clearly used the 16x19 at Wimby.
Don't think any pro worth his salt would flip flop with string pattern over the course of 1 season.
Photo evidence would prove you wrong. Just do a google image search of
Andy Murray French Open 2014 and Andy Murray Wimbledon 2014. At the French he has 18 mains, at Wimbledon, 16.
French 2014 (18x20):
Wimbledon 2014 (16x19):
He is the only top pro I know of that does this? Maybe this is an indication of slightly lower mental fortitude than the other top 4 guys.???
LOL flip flopper not worth his salt!
Some pros do experiment but then to go back to their go to sticks.
I know wilson is infamous for getting their pros to try whatever is in their retail lineup, 16x15 for example.
He does have a few more ATP points and a couple more Slam titles than plenty of pros who stick with one racquet/string pattern. And more of each than you or I have.
And your point is... moot
I'm not saying Murray is not strong mentally. Just that he differs from the top 4 in this way. And can it be a sign of his supposed mental weakness?
It's an indication that the 3.5 hackers who shoot their mouths off on this board about pros never switching or experimenting have no idea of what they are talking about.
Wondering whether the results would be better if he did it the opposite way.
I was wondering the same thing. ..
funny wrap-around bumper guard for a radacal. I though only prestige's use that?
Retail Radical Pro's got that kind of bumper as well.
But he's using the PT57A which is like the PT630
