That's what happens when you throw on the ground your racquet the previous point... Funny though!

I tend to snap my racquets around the throat area (when I do snap them which is rare) because sometimes on my serves I hit the ground on my follow through. Carbon is such that when it goes it tends to break and does so catastrophically rather than slowly with crack fatigue propagation.

    LMAO thats pretty funny.
i recall some time ago....tsonga was playing ancic and tsonga serves a hard serve, ancic tries to pound the ball back and all theres left is his stick. that was the same case. wonder why this happens since pros are usually rotating their frames around.lol

What happens is that she's throwing her racquet on a hard court.
Quick check for cracks in the head, nothing spotted.
Next point ... bam... she obviously didn't check the handle/throat properly ;).
Good that she can smile about it considering she's 2 set points down after that "adventure".

Strange.. the racket just flies of the handle..

I've seen it once, where Clavet or Zabaleta (?) hit a backhand and the racket actually cracked at the throat :)

That just shows how crappy her racquet is. The handle snapped off.

It looked like she was using a babolat, if I'm not mistaken.

I cannot believe that she is smiling. It's now break point and that will most likely be a few thousand in prize money down the drain

Lol it happened to my friend at clay nationals before in the semi-finals, it broke on a forehand winner, (yea he does smash racquets often) but he's good. he won the match n the end
