    Hey fellow TWers,

I was a junkie to the Racquets and Shoes section of TT but I have become more hooked on this section now. I wanted to know what kind of bag you all have and what do you pack it with for tourneys or big matches?

I have a Babolat Aero 9 pack and I keep four racquets, an extra pair of shoes, shorts, an extra shirt, two new cans of balls, some quarters (I hate the racquet twist thing for who serves first), extra overgrips and vibe dampeners and string. Oh, and a couple bottles of water and a towel. Sounds like a lot but it all fits comfortably.

    What about you?

Right now my bag is empty. I have Plantar Fasciitis and I can't play til it heals. Just got back from the Podiatrist and I have a regimen to follow; none of which include playing tennis. :(

Are we doing Bag Check like on Tennis Channel? :p

I've got a Wilson K-Factor (Pete Sampras edition!) that has 3 main compartments and 1 side compartment. First compartment has 3 racquets. Second has 1-3 shirts (1 long-sleeve if it's cold), 1-2 pairs of socks, 2-3 towels, a hat, an ankle brace, a knee brace, and a sealable dirty clothes bag. Third compartment has several handfuls of used tennis balls, 1-2 cans of new ones, and a zip-lock full of wristbands. The side compartment has all the misc. stuff, like vibration dampeners, sunglasses, overgrips, suntan lotion, and gloves if it's cold.

The new style of tennis bags are great compared to what I used to lug around. It's easy to keep things organized and doesn't break my back when I carry it around. Definitely a good investment :)

    Bag Check it is!

I carry a Wilson "Hope" Backpack -- lots of pockets, filled to the max.

    Two Wilson nCode n5 rackets
One set of new Wilson Sensation Strings
    Extra overgrips
One can hardcourt balls, one can clay balls (our club has three different surfaces...the other being a Rebound-Ace playalike)
    Extra socks
    Flip-flops for after the match
    Visor
    Sunscreen
Small first aid kit (bandaids, liquid skin, OTC drugs of all kinds)
    Towel
Some photos of past tennis teams
Deck of playing cards (to pass the time)
"Luck Charms" designed and drawn by my 4-year old

...and a diaper & some wipes (for my 22-month old). Never know when "Mommy Duty" calls. Potty training soon to begin!!!

Liquids (water, gatorade, chocolate milk for recovery) are carried in a separate 6-can cooler...including one of the "cool" Frogg Toggs Chilly Towels.

If I'm playing two events at a tournament (a full day, 3-4 matches)...

    shoes
    2 rackets
    3-4 pairs of socks
    3-4 shirts
    extra pair of shorts
    2-3 water bottles
    3-4 towels

I also have a separate small compartment that always seems to be cluttered with pens, scrap pieces of paper, and other junk.

I'm a big fan of the black Babolat Aeropro bags because they still look quite new after lots of use. I've got a 12 pack and load all kinds of stuff in there! :)

Totally agree. They cost quite a bit for a bag but they definitely last longer than equally priced bags and anything cheaper.

If I am in a summer tournament, I make sure that I have the following with me on court:

    - Three racquets w/ fairly new overgrips & strings
    - Shirt for every set
    - Wrist band for every set
    - Hat for every match
    - Rosin Bag
    - 2 pairs of shoes
    - 1 Hand towel & 1 large towel for every match
    - Athletic Tape
    - Gallon water jug
    - 32 oz Gatorade

If I play multiple matches in a day, I usually shower in between and put fresh clothing on. Therefore, I will have my tennis bag as well as a duffel that stays in the car. I try to keep my tennis bag manageable, but my trunk ends up being a disaster.
