    Hi all

I haven't had too much experience with full poly set ups, but am currently liking Beast XP very much. So far, I have not seen it for sale in the UK so my question is a simple one - what string is similar to Beast XP that I can buy easily in the UK?

    Thanks in advance.

I would agree with this as well, and it's less than half the price. That being said, when you have 10+ packs of Beast XP laying around because of the sucking up you've been doing in reviewing the strings and such... :)

Nice. Personally, I thought that XP was a good string, but it's just too expensive. I'd take SPPP over XP, or CF any day...

Exactly. As long as they'll give it to me for free, I'll use it. :)

I only got 2 sets. One from TW, and one from 361. It would be cool if I could get more free sets, but I won't hold my breath, haha...

I agree. SPPP is like beast xp. It has to be the plamsa version not the pure version to clarify. I don't agree so much with cyber flash though. CF loses tension too quickly.

Other strings you might consider is:

Pacific poly force original, Weisscannon strings silverstring and scorpion, Kirschbaum competition, polyfibre tcs (although softer it plays very well), and pro red code

SPPP > Beast XP. Less powerful, but you could hang a semi off a cliff with SPPP and it would keep its shape. Cyberflash is closer as it's stiffer than both.

SPPP IMO is a much better string than the Beast XP.. holds tension better and offers more spin and control.

^^^ Well to be fair to the both of us, SPPP has the best tension maintenance of any string on the market.

Thanks for the further replies, I will order some SPPP, Cyberflash and Scorpion.

I agree with the general consenus, XP looks very expensive given that others are similar in characteristics and are half the price. But with 5 sets to use I have grown to like it very much and do something I didn't think I'd do, which was become attached to a full poly set up.

I hadn't really thought about the name, with no UK supply I currently have bigger problems!
