I know engineers have some safety built in to the rec tension. Mine says 70 lbs max but that's for regular stings not kevlar. Also I'd like to go to about 73lbs. My arm has played with tight kevlar since the 90s so I don't forsee any arm strain. I'm wondering if kevlar that high will mess up my frames.

I would start at 60lb.(which will be tight already) and then work my way up in 2lb. increments every time I restrung just to be safe. Also, when dealing with high tensions, take your time with pulling tension, it doesn't have to be a race. I strung a kelvar hybrid today in a 100sq. in. racquet @55/65, 18 gauge kevlar mains/ syn.crosses, and it was pretty tight. I took my time and got to hit with it tonight....it was sweet!
