What's that buzz you hear when the serve is long?

    Is that from some kind of electronic detector that is triggered when the serve is long? If that is the case why can't they put it on the baseline too and do away with all the wrong calls? If not, please forgive my ignorance.

    They're gonna be using shotspot soon enough.

    I'm sure it's cyclops, which is a sensor that covers a thin area behind the lines I think.

    I think they're placed in those little boxes you see to the side of the courts.

    They can't put it behind the baseline because it uses some sort of laser detection from the side, I think - on the baseline, or the sidelines for that matter, a player's feet could trigger it.
