    The highest I had my racket strung was at 65. I didn't like it much. I usaually have my racket strung at 63. So what is everyones thoughts on how it played. (If it was yours) Also give your thoughts on how hard or easy the string job was.

    Well, I'm sure I come close to the highest here on modern frames. When I was playing Yamaha Secret EXs(purple/green) 100s, one summer, I was doing them normally around 75 lb with Prince Syn 17 or Babolat Fine Play 17. I for one tournament went to gut and was doing VS All Season 8.5 at 80 pounds prestretched. I have in the past gone as low as 38 lb when trying something, and as of late I was down to about 25K last year, having crept back up to 28K this year.

    Mid 50's to high 60's is the range I've most often used except when doing a proportional job and then the tensions can drop to 40 or below on the outer strings.

    In college when I played every day, I strung my Kramer Pro Staffs (wood) at 65. Later when I went to Midsized frames, I strung my R7 at 75 pounds. I changed to Prince and played with a Prince Pro my senior year in college (new frame then) and played at 80 pounds.

    Lowest I ever strung was a few years ago when I had tendonitis. I was playing with an RD Tour 90 strung at 35 pounds. I had read that stringing really loose would help. It didn't. Shortly after changing to the RD Tour 90, my tendonitis vanished.

    I've strung my POG as high as 80 lbs., and just recently I strung my personal lowest at 59 lbs. in a ProStaff 7.1. I'm beginning to like lower tensions as of late. I could never string 17ga string tight enough to get the control I wanted, so I now I use 16ga at more reasonable midrange tensions.

    I'm like Joe. I strung up my PSC 6.1s with Problend at 65 lbs. (highest ever). The lowest I've gone is 48 lbs. with TiMo in a Tour 10 MP.

    The highest tension was 78# for a friend in his HPS 6.1's, the lowest is for me at 52#'s proportional in a HPS 6.0 Tour 95. As Gaines mentioned earlier, this gets down to under 30#'s on the outer strings.

    51 lbs on a Fischer Pro 1. (my arm was hurting for a week or so..so I figured I'd get a suuuper low tension to help out. It was a fluke or something, arm felt better a few days later, and has been ever since)

    68 on a I Prestige mid. ...why??? :p

    The lowest i've heard of is 14# with natural gut. There is a guy in Western MA that hits only slice (with very good control) and this is how he does his racket.

    14 lbs, lol, how do you even string it?

    I've gone 65 in my classic 6.1's, and lowest I've strung for someone is like 54 or so, nothing special. I've used 58 at lowest. If anything, I'd go higher than 65 rather than below even 60.

    I've strung rackets as high as 80#. In the 80s, many of the Prince rackets had recommended tensions of up to 77-80. These were mostly the 125"series, but I knew a few guys that strung their 110s that high too. 49 is about the lowest I've strung a racket, except for Jr. rackets. I've strung Junior rackets as low as 35#, and racketball rackets as low as 19#.

    Highest, 61 using og sheep on a HPS 6.1, Prince Warrior, and Head TI heat(I miss those racquets, though I love my 6.1's)

    Lowest was 54 on my 6.1 with super smash

    I now string with super smash at around 57 to keep the tension equivalent to the old og I used to use, but now that I moved to the the humid northeast from high altitude southern new mexico, I'm gonna experiment with lower tensions to get some of the old pop back.

    In college I strung my bumble bees (Original Head Radical Trisys 260) at 72 pounds with 15g Kevlar mains. I always enjoyed a firm feel. My arm is paying me back now however...

    I believe the tightest I have strung at is 42kgs (Roberto Carretero) with polymono in a Estusa frame.This is about 92 lbs if I'm not mistaken.The next would be Thomas Muster at 40 kgs (88lbs) with isospeed in a head pro tour 630.Tommy Haas at 36 kg with 10% pre stretch got me nervous (every pull was first 39.6kgs then back down to 36kgs) with 125 Vs team gut in a Dunlop whatever.Nervy stuff especially when his coach gave me an extra couple of sets of gut "just in case". Lowest would probably be CaƱas at about 18kgs.Have a great day

    lowest = 60
    middle = 60

    i know a dude with a broken stringing machine that can only string @58, kinda limits his customer base.

    LMFAO @ boris becker

    you strung his racquet at 29 lb because he would break it at 29lb??or u strung his racquet at 29lb because he would break the string at his normal tension???

    ps if he came to me I would string it with trimmer lines, or piano wire, just to make him mad (ive done that before, doesnt play nice)
