    seems to be handling the ball!. Thats the first time I have seen Dulko, whats the appeal with her??. I dont think shes that hot.

    I think it is just a three dimensional event got caught on a two dimensional surface. No depth information in 2-D.

    I don't think she is about to serve. She is just about hit a FH. I don't see any line. Too much momentum already. And maybe she holds two balls for serving a la 70s players.

    That ball is not in her hand, the camera angle makes it look like it is. She is getting ready to return a forehand.

    Yeah, good thinking Andy. I guess this started all 'serve' thing b/c it looks like she is holding one as if she is going to 'side-hand' serve.

    look at her thumb.. doesn't it look short? probably because the ball is blocking it. there's proof haha

    If the text in your OP was the caption for the pic ... it's just wrong. (Probably written by a member of the press with no tennis knowledge.) I think the improper caption my be what threw you....

    yeah, when i first saw the pic, i thought it was a forehand with the ball at a cool angle, but the caption (from yahoo) confused me.

    The ball is blurry. Another evidence that she's hitting a forehand. Oh yah, the clay near the feet....
