I've modified every racket that I've owned except one, but I've only owned five different frames throughout my entire tennis life.

What are the frames that, to you, feel perfect right off the shelf? :)

I've either modified every frame I've owned/tried or wanted to. The only exception would be the Wilson 6.1 Classic, now known as the 6.1 95 16x18. I don't own one but I've never felt like I wanted to change anything about it.

BM200. PSC6.1 also was one that I never felt the need to modify.

Neither one required anything and each matched its brethren right out of the box.

Current racquet and only one I have very owned that I have not felt the need to put lead somewhere on it.

Wilson Pro Staff 85 and all versions of the Pro Staff 90. I just replace the leather grips with synthetic ones and I'm good to go.

KPS88 - I had two that I didn't have to modify (one was 0.1 over spec and the other was 0.3 over spec), and three others that were a lot lighter. Unfortunately Wilson discontinued the model and it doesn't appear that they will ever have anything similar.

The quality issues are a given for the vast majority of racquet companies so I'm resigned to customization. It would be nice to be able to get the same frame for more than a few years but most manufacturers want to move you along regularly.

Was a long time ago though. Probably would be too heavy for me these days.

Diablo Mid. It feels hits like a MP and plows like a el camino on monster truck wheels driving through a fine china shop that sells professional grade fireworks out the back. The old Diablo Mid, plays like awesome feels

i´ve played the prince Graphite MID stock for a long period (well, just have to add the strings ;) )...

In fact i´ve added leather grips, lead or something else at almost any other racquet i´ve played for a reasonable time (at least a couple of months)

pretty much anything in the 6.1 line, minus the lighter stuff(team, etc.) and the prince diablo MP as someone else said was really nice. Pure drive roddick with a leather grip and an overgrip i wouldnt change.

    1. Donnay Pro One 97 - I order lead tape by the roll, but I think it plays pretty darn good in stock form. I'd be hard pressed to name a more stable and solid feeling 11.5 oz racquet.

    2. Volkl Tour 10 MP Gen 1 - Cuz don't mess with perfection.

    3. Fischer Vacuum Pro 90 - ditto

    4. Jack Kramer Autograph - I put green gauze over the leather grip. That was a pretty bold modification back then. Purists were not amused.

Wilson hyper carbon pro staff 5.0.

It was heavy from the factory, with a low balance point.

If Wilson was able to bring the stiffness down just a couple of points, it would have been money. The graphite and graphics/color combo was
    perfect too.

Yeah, that was good stock (if it's the stick I think you mean, the one that came with little weights you could attach during stringing, but the racquet felt better without).

    And Pro Staff 85.
