i dont want to post a "spoiler"
but when is it safe to discuss a match here??
24 hours after match point, but as you can see most people ignore that.
is that the answer
There is an entire section devoted to match discussion and results, why would you ever need to discuss a match result in the General Pro section, which should be used for general news and Nadal/Fed **** wars?
Feel free to discuss the Borg v McEnroe match at Wimbledon 1980. But, as another poster suggested, if you're not sure, why not just use Pro Match Results?
I haven't watched that one yet.
Someone posted the final score of Del Potro's first round match in one of the threads in the General Pro section...
Sorry. How about Ashe v Connors in 1975?
Why would you need to? Just post it in the Match Results section.
TO OP, is there any particular reason to post here? why not in the proper thread?
You know what things goes to the kitchen and what goes to the bath, so?
Yes that one's okay.
ok what a match !!!!!
ashe was just incredible.
who would of thought he could beat jimbo
no realy the match i want to talk about today is fed vs simon
WHAT A NAIL BITER!!!!!!
although the "experts" say this will make fed tougher to beat.
hes getting old .
how draining will this be this early in the slam??
And you did not provide the outcome, right?
You could always disguise it as this example shows: "The player had an excellent/not so great match against his/her opponent and when that point the decided the set/match they were playing You know what it would be special/not so good. The player may or may not have moved on to the next round and will perhaps face a new opponent". That way, you can write all you want about the match and noone would call you a spoiler.
haha. Well it's always great to watch the underdog win. I particularly enjoyed how the smugness on jimbo's face disappeared as the match progressed. I haven't watched a whole lot of old matches but the TC was showing this, and boy tennis sure was different back then. I much prefer it now to be honest. But drama it had!
As for Fed-Simon, they have a few threads in the pro match results section, why not discuss it there?
Separate names with a comma.
