As the title says, does anyone have a date on when this will come out? I have been demoing for a 2 weeks and will be most likely be going with the blade98 but I don't know if I should wait for the new one to come out so I can get the BLX on sale or the new one if its nice.

I think the Blades have lagged behind the Six.One series by a year in the last two revisions. This is pure supposition, but I'd expect to hear about the next paintjobs nearer to the end of 2012, probably on sale in January 2013.

    ^This would be a shame.

The blade series is one of Wilson's most popular lines.

Never understood why Wilson would tamper with the blade series' specs, as they did with the BLX.

They decided to make the lighter spec'd Blade98 softer and the heavier spec'd blade93 stiffer?

Should've kept the kfactor stiffness for both. A softer blade93 and a stiffer blade98.

There are pictures out there already. Serena's hitting partner was using them.

New blade 98 and blade tour will be an all matte black with charcoal grey highlights. Suppose to be released in January.

Just seen the new Blades. The Tour is a matt black. The 98 is a mattt black with silver accents. Not my idea of a good looking PJ....looks like someone's forgotten to paint it.

Due to be released at the start of next year.

    Interestingly, there's also going to be 15x16 Steam S. No that's not a typo - 15x16....

Will there be only only one version of the tour like before ( 18x20)?

If I ever get the chance to pick up a used KBlade tour, :).
Seeing Novak winning his first slam with this and seeing how beautifully he was hitting, and also seeing Kohlschreiber tearing through Roddick off the ground at the AO in 09 I believe, just makes me want to try this racket. It really looks like a ground stroker's delight.

I agree, seemed liked he was having more clean and sound strokes with the smaller head back than (I believe it never was a Kblade, but a painted head prestige, nevertheless..)
With his bigger headsize now he is more 'pulling' the balls. Effective but not as smooth..

New paint is supposedly going to enhance the feel, marketing rep has said they're trying to steal more prestige MP users back to wilson....who knows

looking forward to demoing the blade 98 16x19. With it's firmer feel and higher than average pop, it might be just the stick I need. Like an easier to use c10 pro. I really liked the IG Radical Pro, but it was just too flexy. This might fix that too.

Even though he probably plays with a pro stock version, I would be interested in the retail specs....

    2013 Wilson Blade 93

I just switched to this racquet and will be staying with it. Have mine strung with Technifibre X1 Biphase 17 gauge at 57 lbs. For me the best feeling racquet since the original Wilson K Blade Tour back in 2006. Actually better feeling, bigger sweetspot, more power, more control, and more stability than that racquet, maybe slightly more muted but hardly noticable. Just switched from the Dunlop Bio F 3.0 Tour, before that the Head YouTek IG Prestige Pro, and before that every Dunlop 200 series between this 2013 Blade and the 2006 K Blade Tour. Honestly wish I would have saved the money and stayed with the K Blade Tour until this 2013 Blade 93 came out. IMO there is no other racquet out there that feels like such a natural extension of your arm. No more racquet searching for me until Wilson comes out with another players Blade that convinces me is better than this 2013 Blade 93.

tried the 16x19 and 18-2o this week.

i was hoping i would like this racquet cause i nee to replace my gamma t7s. It's a good racquet, but not for my game

16-19 is to difficult to control on the forehang. I have a simi-to full western grip and this stick does not produce enough spin for my taste. I did not find a big difference between the two versions. The ball trajectory is really low and the head shape is narrow, that may explain the lack of spin.

i think this stick would be good for flat hitters, the 18-20 provides a bit more control

i will wait for the new speed graphene and i will try the new APD too. I hope i like the new speed, cause i know i will like the apd.....
