    Hi guys,

    I just bought these pt630.

They came with no cap , I was wondering which CAPs are the best for these, I have read all the Prestige MP will do the job, is this right? which one you like the best?

Also can someone tell what I got? all are made in austria, right?

    Thanks

Congratulations on your purchase of one of the greatest racquets ever made. It is still relevant as it is being used on the ATP Tour today by several well known players.
Yes your racquets were made in Austria.

The best C.A.P. Grommets is the LiquidMetal Prestige MP. They are same exact C.A.P. grommets as was put on the Pro Tour 630 during the retail production run. The only difference is the LM Prestige MP C.A.P. grommets are matte and not shiny like it was back in the day.

Another option is the MG/YT Prestige MP C.A.P grommets.

I can second the LM Prestige MP CAP grommets for the PT630. I actually just replaced the grommets on a PJ PT630 last night!

    Gorgeous sticks!

I am a big fan of cap grommets too but you might want to try them without caps experimenting with a little lead perhaps at 10/2 or 3/9 first. I have a Head pro stock frame that plays amazing without caps.

Might find you love em that way and save yourself some money......

    Nice find, congrats!

The Older ones are the 2 "Star Trek" font (the ones with 630 written in red).

TK 57 are best, but all of them will fit.

No the last ones were made in China. It should say inside the throat is they were made in Austria. To give you an idea of the difference I bought 3 of the China made ones new from TW for $70 each. Still good sticks but not like the Austria models.

    PT630 or PT280??
I believe all 630s came from Austria. Latest 280s, however, did come from China.
BTW, latest PT57As also come from China...and pros are fine with it.

Fair enough. I don't care for the look of them, but it's all personal preferance anyway.

Maybe iPrestige MP could be another, lighter, alternative.
Your choice could be interesting on beautiful green Elite Pro or blue PT630 when the color comes through the CAP, however, black ones just look classier.

I actually like the look over the black LM caps........but they are pretty **** for durability. I already have a couple of scratches on them and half of them are from me lightly brushing the ground, e.g. using the racket and the side of my foot to pick up the ball.

i'll try the iPrestige MP if I want to change again next time.

Can anyone post weights of the 3? (LM, iPrestige, IG)

Thanks for posting the picture...I can't do it through my profile from some reason.
Someone loves it, other say it is fugly. I have not decided yet.
But it is much better looking then with the clear IG grommets...that is fugly for me:twisted:
Now I could buy red wheels for my car to match the stick:shock:
