POLL: If you had to use one string for the rest of your life and could only choose from these which one would it be. (You could have an unlimited supply therefore string as often as you like and they would be Free so don't factor in cost!)

I don't think that's a fair poll. I think categories are more appropriate:

    Poly: WC Scorpion
    MF: Laserfibre SNGPS
    NatGut: Babolat VS Team
SynGut: Pro Supex Spiral Flex Black
Budget: Gosen OG Sheep Micro Natural
    Kevlar: My own hair

Well seeing as you only have one of the ones I listed, I think you can guess who the one vote for Scorpion is from :)

Babolat VS Touch if I could afford it otherwise I would go with Biphase X1 since I can't get a hold of LaserFibre SNPS.

Luxilon Alu Power because it gives me lots of power and i love power. Has anyone tried the string called jadee kevlar blend. It snaps so quickly. I think that was the worst string i have ever used. It lasted me 2 weeks.

Did you shank it? The longest a string has ever lasted with me is 4 months and i'm still using them. The string is babolat pro hurricane tour yellow. They have to break sometime.

^^^ alpha 2k is a multi, not that durable but plays great when fresh... for about 30-90 minutes depending on your stick.

Back on topic, since the OP says 'unlimited supply at no cost' ... VS at max tension, no brainer. ;p

Dead Solid Perfect break in the sweetspot. Only Gosen Anna Kournikova had as soft and sweet feel.

PHT all the way! Still the best poly out there for me. However, Revenge is VERY close. Almost seems like the same string.

When you're 50 and tryin to keep your arm from flailing off, PHT wouldn't be a smart choice

Yep, eventually you get old, your parts start to ache, you don't swing as fast, natural gut is the only choice. I'd just string it higher as a junior and drop tension as I became a senior.

wow uno! nice stock of vs and alu! I think i need to stock up on some string also.. I keep going every 10 days or so to the same sports store and buying 1 pack at time and now they give me funny looks like at least buy 2 or 3 packs if you keep coming back.. but actually I like to keep going to look at all the racquets etc. hehe

Club really takes his strings seriously with all those VS Team sets :). Do you get a discount from your reseller for buying all those sets at once?

He gets a discount. I had a pro offer me vs team at $25/set, but he flaked when I jumped. Only have used L3 pt57a.

Looking forward to testing the new black VS

Looking forward to your review on the new one. I am wondering if we should stock up on the old ones or go with the new ones Babolat reportedly says are better.

Stock up on the old ones. Black gut, most likely coated, will not come close to the "Natural" gut feel.
