Both history making, so which one?
Rafa winning 7th RG or Novak winning RG and holding all 4?

That's after the best scenario, which would be Rodge winning second, of course.

Nole holding all. It hasn't been done like forever.

Rog, winning his second RG would be great, not sure its happening.

well, as long as buttpicker doesn't win, I'll be happy :)

Novak holding all four, because it hasn't been done in 43 years.

Roger winning second RG is way more important than Cheater Ralph winning his 7th RG, and Novak holding all 4 majors.

For me I would rather see Nadal win his 7th FO than have Novak hold all four slams. I am not a huge Novak lover. Obviously I would like to see Roger win his second FO, that would be the best option.

Rog winning his 2nd RG or Rafa winning his 7th RG are not as consequential to history as Nole winning 4 back to back. Definitely want to see that happen.

That's a good question. Obviously, for me, seeing Roger win his second would be the best scenario. I like Nole, but if he wins, he'll be the third player in the past four years to have completed the Career Slam. It's getting kind of easy, isn't it? Anyway, it would historic if he does win, and well deserved. Of course, Rafa winning his 7th would be pretty awesome as well, and historic. I'd like to see Roger or Nole win it, though, as I think Rafa will have more chances to win in the future, whereas Federer and Djokovic may not.

Exactly, it sort of cheapens the whole thing if Djokovic wins it as well imo.

Rogi is winning his second. Make no mistakes.

Yup, and I'd give Nole second priority.

Not this year obviously but I prefer to see Nadal winning his 10th Roland Garros. That will shock (or shall I say shake up) the world.

4 in a row would be an amazing achievement. It would literally put Djokovic into top 10 of all time consideration.

i voted for novak winning 4 in a row just because it hasn't been done for so long. rafa can win his 7th some other time but novak cannot just as easily get this opportunity again. even roger, who had 2 chances to do it, couldn't.

I'm a Djokovic fan so I'm obviously bias. But I would think that most would rather see something that hasn't been done since the 60s.

Yep and Nadal got his chance at the AO 2011 but lost to Ferrer at QF after not dropping a set prior to that. After the event Laver said he was sure Nadal would win The Rafa Slam.

Federer had 3 chances I believe, 2004, 2006, 2007. If not for Nadal, Federer would probably have 3 CYGS at least.

Edit: Federer lost to Guga in '04 at RG. That was his best chance, he really messed that one up.

funnily enough the closest fed ever came to holding all 4 wasnt even during the time of his absolute dominance but came between 09 and 10 where he won the 09 FO and wimby and the 10 AO and was literally 2 points away from winning the USO 09 in between. so he even had 4 very good chances of winning 4 in a row even tho the last one would not have been a CYGS.

Ugh, why'd you have to remind me. That '09 final should have been straightforward for him, again he blew it. Federer better make up for it this year by winning OG at the very least.

that just shows you how difficult is to hold all 4 slams. If Djokovic somehow manages to win RG it would be truly amazing. Remind you, I dearly love both Roger and Novak for all kinda different reasons:)

OP: Nadal taking it. I want to see him win another three--if physically possible.

Djokovic will have more chances beyond that.

It would be great if we had a new Slam champion (or at least someone other than Djokovic/Nadal). At this stage actually, Federer winning would make it something fresh. But hoping for someone like del Potro, Berdych, Murray etc. going all the way.

I think this is a great opportunity for many guys. With the 4 big tournaments (RG, W, Olympics, USO) almost back to back, a surprise winner at one of the Slams could be a good possibility.

Pole is bunk without a Federer winning 17th GS title option.

Outside of that I guess I want to see Djokovic win the "Djoker" slam and simultaneously the career slam.

THIS year I'd like either Fed to win a second French, then Novak winning 4 in a row. Next year Nadal can win #7.

Nadal isn't going for a consecutive wins record here so I'm not as fussed about when he does that, but I don't think Novak is going to be in a chance again to win 4 majors in a row again in his career.

If I can't see all 4 being won in the same year then I'd at least like to see someone win 4 in a row across 2 seasons.

i was only referring to the times when a player had already won 3 in a row and was in a very good position to win a fourth. i don't count the times when they won 2, lost and then won another to make 3 out of 4.

And it was - until he felt sorry for JMDP and let him back in the match.

Picked ND win RG to have all 4. Then the others have to step up their games to beat him at Wimbledon. Because if he wins Wimby, then he's going after the Slam in NYC.

In terms of history, 4 is more special.

But whether I want Rafa or Nole? i really don't care a whole lot.

    Give me nr. 17!

Of the two options - In other words, who would you be supporting in a Djokodal Final at RG this year?

Novak all the way! :) Never seen four in a row in my lifetime, so this would be a special moment. I've already seen an exceptional player when seven slams in eight years at a particular slam, so it's nothing that hasn't been done in the last dozen or so years. But four in a row is just that magical thing that everyone would love to see happen once before their own eyes. Novak is the man for the job.
