Wilson Ultra gave what you would give in a linear manner, no loss of power, no added power. Head iPrestige mid is excellent too.

Did the Ultra and Ultra 2 precede the PS 6.0 85? The PS 6.0 95 and POG MP get my vote on the racquets with the best feeling sweetspot.

I saw one of these Ultra's for sale in a big sporting goods store in China this past December.

The price was around $550 and it was in a very nice hard case covered by leather. There were a few other things included in the case but I was not paying any attention.

Oh yeah, the 6.0 85 is brutally honest about the state of your game.

agree with Ronaldo; I would add the Prince Magnesium Pro 90 also. In reality the prestige can still be had .

The i Prestige mid. It's like when you hit a golf ball perfectly with an iron .... it's just feels right. Just an awesome feel and sound!

Kirko, still have a Magnesium Pro 90 but can't quite get the head rounded again. Love stringing that one

Ultra was released in 1979, and those are Wilson's words, a linear response compared to wooden racquets. May include the Head XRC in the mix, IMO too flexy. Btw, still own these racquets

Ronaldo I know a couple of very experienced stringers who "wrecked" a few ; a very soft frame, but really delivered as the ultra II . I got intersted in the ultra by watching Rosewall use it in all its forms. It was sublime why else would they pick it to celebrate 90 yrs. of racket making.

Kirko, used it for 10 yrs but was never worthy or truly know its potential. Cannot compare tennis with a 68" head to what is played today. So much more power and spin now.
