Sorry if theres already threads about this but which silicone brand is good to put on the strings? I prefer non greasy and non coloured ones like putting a clear coat on a paintjob or like the polish you put on the shoes, i just dont want my tennis balls to get dirty. So anyone know any good silicone brands?

The court will have the biggest effect on making your tennis balls dirty. Weird thing to worry about. Open a new can once and awhile.

Silicone does not provide much benefit. Not worth the inhalation risks.

True but the one time I tried silicone on the strings the balls got REALLY dirty. I blamed the courts but it was noticeably different.

I didn't wipe the excess spray from the strings. Next time I try it I'll give the strings a wile

If I understand correctly, the OP apply silicone on the strings to reduces the friction between the main and the cross which leads to better string snapback. The lubricant can grease up the balls though which makes them dirty. I personally put a little bit of baby oil on my sweet spot and move the strings around a bit and then wipe off the excess with tissue/ cloth. THe balls doesn't get dirty for me but the effect diminishes quickly unless I reapply frequently.
