Gasquet no unless he solve his stamina issues, Dimitrov why not. Federer also took his time to deliver the goods, so why not Dimitrov? It's not like he's too old for this is he? He's only 21, this offers a good margin of progression.

Go look at Fed's early years - up through 2001. He had plenty of losses where he won the 1st set but couldn't finish. He figured it out. Dimitrov can too. No guarantees - he could become an honorary Frenchman and just be happy with The Life.

    Dimitrov 2016 AO.

1BH is a dying art for sure but it won't be totally instinct....someone with a 1 bh has a chance, although slim, to win a slam someday if they have other strokes going for them AND if the opponent is not someone like Rafa !!

Dimitrov's serve is very average. I think the only way that Dimitrov will be able to compete for majors is if he seriously upgrades his serve. It isn't impossible, but the serve is one of the hardest things to work on.

Federer had an awesome serve coming onto the tour. His serve set his 1HBH up for a lot of easy-ish winners/passing shots. This really allowed his 1HBH to improve over time. Fed's FH was always great.

Dimitrov has a great FH, so-so backhand, and a so-so serve. So he doesn't have the advantage that Fed had.

Dimitrov needs a few more years of seasoning and fitness work, but I think by around age 25 he'll be in the mix if he keeps working hard at it. It's all about how much character he has developed in that time.

    Haha bump.

Still sticking with 75 - 100 years will be the minimum wait for a 1hbh Slam champ. More likely is it will never happen, however.
