I say Djokovic but there's a possibility Federer or Nadal will win it. Even Tsonga because he's good on hard court. What do you think?

Sorry but my bets on Murray, you seem to have left him out, he is a major contender.

^^^^again he as the confidence booster, but now he as the fitness and the mental strength to make it to the semis. I will not vote no this thread until Murray is added, because I believe he has as good of a chance at taking it as Federer or Djokovic.

super bad choices... not even an option for other either. I would say fed or murray has the highest chance, 2nd djokovic and nadal, then there are the other contenders like roddick, tsonga and other hardcourt players.

Remember, there's always a surprise contender who gets to the final. Every year for the past seven years there's been one.

    08: Tsonga
    07: Gonzalez
    06: Baghdatis
05: Hewitt sort of because he'd never gotten to the second week of the AO before.
04: Safin(he'd dropped to 86 in the world)
    03: Schuettler
    02: Johansson
    01: Clement.

Funnily enough, Nadal has lost to the runner-up(and surprise finalist) his last 3 AOs.

In 05 he lost to Hewitt in 5(of course he was the underdog then though).
    In 06 he didn't play.
    07 lost to Gonzo
    08 to Tsonga.

Someone redo the poll. Leaving Andy Murray out while having Del Potro and Simon in is absurd.

Murray has the equal chance of winning it and losing early. I am not sold on the fact that he can go all the way. He has to avoid long matches like the one he had against Jurgen Melzer at the USO, having to come back from 2 sets down, I was watching it live. The next man to win his first grand slam is Andy though , the question is when. I say chances are the one of the top 3 win it, with a minor chance of someone in the 5-10 winning it.

Im feeling Murray rocking things up a bit. I also don't expect to see alot from Djokovic. Too much pressure.

    You know Federers winning it...
He wants 2 more AO's to match his 5 Wimbledons and 5 USOpens and more importantly to pass Sampras...

i agree that murray and fed are tied for first, with djokovic next and nadal after him... maybe. wouldn't it be amazing if simon won though? he has beaten fed and nadal recently, i wouldn't count him out completely.

I'm not sure Murray will like the heat too much but if he can get alot of big matches at night, he'll do well.

Murray or Djokovic for me, agreed it's crazy to leave him out the poll.

    My first choice is Murray.
Why he will win: He is just too strong these days and has the confidence to go all the way.

Why he won't win: There's always a chance he goes against someone like Tsonga, Roddick, Simon or Davydenko and losses. He's strong sure, but is he consistent enough? time will tell. Just remember the Olympics and the TMC.

    My second choice is Federer.

Why he will win: I am almost sure he'll reach the semis, and he has a good chance to win too. While Fed is unpredictable these days, he did came up with the goods and found his game just in time at the US Open (despite nearly losing to Andreev).

Why he won't: Consistency. No longer amazing forehands in every point, many errors, low confidence, and that seems like the reasons he losses these days.

My 3rd cohice is Djokovic and 4th is Nadal.

I would say Murray. I have been thinking so ever since Murray's dismantlement of Nadal in the semis of the USO and his wins over Fed during the year end tournaments.
