This year we've seen some strange stuff. Nadal won his first HC slam (and proved all the doubters wrong), Federer got his much deserved RG title and reclaimed Wimbledon, and then we saw a new USO champion in Juan Martin. Personally, I want to see some other guys win slams next year. What is your wishlist (it doesn't have to be realistic)?

    For me it's:

AO: Davydenko d. Federer in the final
RG: Haas d. Nadal in the final
W: Gasquet d. Federer in the final
    USO: Nalbandian d. Del Potro

WTF: Murray d. Djokovic in the final.

Yeah yeah, I know, none of this will ever happen, but a guy can dream, right?

I pull for Federer in every slam he plays in so that is my answer I guess. I dont want Federer to lose slam finals, that just majorly sucks. If he doesnt make it to the finals, I want Djkovic to win all 4.

This is about what you want to see, not what you believe you will see. Haas has never won a set from Nadal and I want him to not only take a set, but also beat him on his favorite surface at his favorite slam and winning a major just before he retires.

Those losses are a compliment to Federer. I want Davy and Gasquet to win after they beat the tennis legend himself, not some nobody. Fed has won more than enough slams.

This post has just proved that you're a fan of Nadal only to hate Federer. When Fed is gone, you'll dump Nadal.

I'd like Nadal to win all four, but would go into shock if Federer didn't win one! It just hasn't happened, has it?

    If I could choose though,

I would want Nadal to defend his AO, or
Haas over Federer in the final.

Nadal at the French over Federer,
    or Davydenko over Federer.

Wimbledon, Nadal reclaiming the glory from 2008, or Tsonga holding it together and finishing off the job. (I know, I'm not a Tsonga fan, but it would be nice to see his all court game, when he plays in the zone on display, and might even kickstart France's players).

USO, this'll be my dream until Nadal retires.

    Nadal over Djokovic, or
    Djokovic=Murray, either one.

I can watch a lot of great matches and players until the final. This doesn't mean that I want them to win the whole thing. I want Rafa to win.

It would be really funny if it happens but unfortunately it's also pretty unlikely. Nadal still has to make the finals at the US Open and they could both be upset at the AO. Wouldn't be surprised to see another RG and Wimbledon Nadal/Federer showdown though.

Above anything else in the world of tennis right now, the one result I would most like to see:

Wimbledon 2010 - Andy Roddick def. Roger Federer

as for the others, I think there is quite a few people I would like to see win a slam next year (Djoker, Soderling, Nadal, Federer)

    AO - Soderling
    FO - Nadal
    USO - (Djoker/Nadal/Federer)

Australian Open- Davydenko defeats Federer. He deserves a slam and this would be the most fitting way to do it.

French Open- Djokovic defeats Nadal. I know people will be amazed I am saying this but he deserves something like this after some crushing close losses to Nadal on clay where he has played his heart out. He also deserves another slam, he is a great player.

Wimbledon- Nadal defeats Murray. Would love to see Nadal break the hearts of all of Britian.

U.S Open- Nadal defeats Federer. Nadal completes both his own career slam and his career slam finals sweep over Federer.

To each their own. I would like Davydenko to win a slam. Haas I wish had won a slam in the early 2000s when he was good enough to win one, if he won one now it would seem like a fluke though kind of like when Costa won in 2002. Gasquet has never impressed me much and I dont want (nor expect) him to ever win anything big unless he greatly improves his actual tennis game. I also wish Nalbandian had won a slam in the mid 2000s, but for him as well it would seem like a bit of a fluke if he did it now.

Of course it is OK my friend Maximo. Murray deserves a slam if he plays a little more aggressive like he used to.

HAHAH that would be great for the head to head not to mention Nadal beat federer at 3 different slams but Federer beat him at all four if this happened. It would really be amazing if they made every final this year. That does not have a high chance of happening I think.
