Who is the blonde hottie on the Evian "Off Court Videos" on the Wimbledon site? This video presenter is identified as Elspeth. Anyone got any further details?

The only Elspeth I know is Elspeth Gibson who is a London Based Fashion desginer. And the woman is not her. But the video is about fashion so maybe there was a mix up or something.

    Try Elspeth Rose and

    Elspeth Rae.

May be one of them. Ones a model and ones an actress.

Apparently Elspeth is a name that aint used much anymore. most of the famous ones are dead.

    Elspeth, what an odd name.

Are players required to wear white?

Yeah, really love that voice/accent. The cute face caught my eye right off the bat. Once I heard her accent, I was hooked.

    Her name is Elspeth Pierce.

It pops up when you type in Elspeth TV presenter. She's apparently a new model/presenter/actress/etc. =O

Dankeschön. Excellent find. Had tried a number of other search terms w/o any luck. TV presenter is not common terminology at all in this part of the world. We are more likely to use the label, TV host or TV interviewer.

I'm thinking that I perhaps should have tried using Google UK rather than the local (US) version of Google. When I type in "google.com", I get a localized (US) version whereas those in the UK probably get Google UK when typing in "google.com". I can access Google UK by typing "google.co.uk".

I recall having a problem with this sort of thing a few years back on a badminton forum. Someone from the UK used the acronym AGM as if everyone is supposed to know what it meant. This is not commonly used in the States at all. When I dared to ask what it meant, I was admonished for being lazy and not doing a simple search to glean the answer. The problem was that I had done a search and could not find anything that made sense in the context that the poster had used it. When I posted back that I had done a search, I could find nothing that made sense, 2 posters from the UK insisted that the meaning of AGM was very obvious using a google search. They implied that I was somehow mentally deficient.

After a few days, it occurred to me that we were not seeing the same search results at all because google.com has a local bias. I discovered that I could get to Google UK by using "google.co.uk". By doing so, the intended meaning of AGM became perfectly obvious. (Interestingly, Annual General Meeting now shows up several times on the 1st 2 pages of search results using the US google search function. This was not the case at all early in 2007). I posted my revelation and waited for responses from my 2 tormentors. One of them had a subsequent post in that thread but neither of these clowns acknowledged my finding or bothered to apologize for their disparaging remarks.

EPL??? Is this a reference to librarians? Evanston Public Library? Edmonton Public Library?

Energy Partners, Ltd? Edison Price Lighting? European Physics Letters? It couldn't possibly be a futbol/soccer reference of some sort?

    Nah!
