Bless his heart, I'm a big supporter of George W. Bush, but he's got to be the worst public speaker I've ever seen...

As much as he loves an audience, John McEnroe is always embarrassingly stiff and uncomfortable when in any sort of public context.

    Bless your heart, too.;-)

Newhart...that's just an act, I think.

Speaking of Lawrence Taylor, anyone remember Tony Dorsett in a fruit punch commercial years ago? Now THAT was bad.

You know who's really bad, Jimmy Connors, actually. That hack dvd of his must have taken like fifty thousand takes.

Lendl's bad, but that's just his accent. He's actually cool and confident.

Stan Smith is a great guy, but very stiff. I saw him at a USPTA thing about fifteen years ago...and met him recently.

Al Gore used to be awful.

Agassi is a natural. And Yannick Noah, too.

Actually it isn't. Know someone who's worked with him.
    Makes his success as a comedian/actor all-the-more
amazing. Sort of like James Earl Jones. Amazing voice, etc. Most people
don't know he had a major speech impediment he had to overcome.

I'll throw another name into the mix ... though he would win the award posthumously: Vice Admiral James Stockdale (H. Ross Perot's running mate).

    Dude was a disaster ...

Wow, really? It was a speech impediment. Yes, all the more impressive.

Cool, you know someone who worked with him. Up in New England? Was it Larry or his brother Darryl? Or his other brother Darryl?;-)

Bush may be an American hero but considering he has to have written-in pronounciations on some words in his speeches yet still manages to butcher them I will have to give him the nod.

None of the above. The worst public speaker is the one you've never heard of because he'll never go up there. Bush can't help being a moron. Just because his speeches are laughable doesn't take away from the fact that he is very relaxed when he is giving them.

Yeah, Bush is a moron with an MBA from Harvard...last I checked, Harvard doesn't exactly toss those things in your window as you drive by...hmmm, I wonder if YOU could earn an MBA from Harvard?
As for Bush being relaxed when giving speeches, I guess I must have missed the ones you've seen, 'cause he always looks very uncomfortable giving speeches to me (of course, if my speech-giving was as bad as his, I'd be uncomfortable as hell too!)

    Worst: One word: Strategery.

Second worst: That one guy at the AO who talks about the sponsors (KIA etc) at the trophy ceremony. He is a complete blithering imbecile.

Thirst worst: Any mentally retarded person that also has Tourretts Syndrome.

If your parents are powerful you can definitely get into any school you want. Harvard classmates noted that Bush said the stupidest things in the classroom.

He was a C average student at Yale, and while he was accepted to Harvard business school, most of the time classmates would remember a guy chewing tobacco in the back of the class, not really paying attention and just getting by.

Powerful parents may get you into a particular school, but they still don't earn the grades for graduation for you. So, GHWB having been a Yale alumni may have gotten W into Yale, W still had to earn the grades to graduate. (As an aside, it should be noted that W had a higher GPA at Yale than Algore did at Harvard). And there is no evidence whatsoever that GHWB had ANYTHING to do with getting W in to Harvard Business School, let alone earn his grades for him. He may have "just gotten by" at Harvard Business School, but I'm guessing that a GPA of 2.0 from Harvard is harder to achieve and more valuable than a 3.0 - 4.0 at a lot of other schools. (As another aside, Algore FLUNKED out of Divinity school, and QUIT law school).:D

Wow, if all that you say is true then it is even more incredible that such a "booksmart" man was able to become the most incompetent President in this nation's history. But I guess it takes incredible intelligence to: be able to take a country to war against a nation that did not attack us; cost the US thousands of lives; ring up billion dollar deficits; virtually forget about catching the man that orchestrated the 9/11 attacks; and butcher our Constitution.......all in under 7 years! Your Einstein sure pulled it off, :-(

Oh no! No blessings for GW Bush. Instead, may the blessings be transfered to the people who voted for him and still believe everything he says like gospel.

Some of you seem to miss the point of my post. It's not to show my support of President Bush; any regular reader of this message board knows about that. It's to TRY to show some of you that although you may not agree with W's policies, and that's fine, but the biggest mistake so many of you "intellectual" lib/dems make is underestimating people. He doesn't think like me, so he must be intellectually inferior. How many of you lib/dems on this board are Ivy League graduates?

Gee whiz Gomer, I have NOT "accomplished" the train wreck of an administration; caused death, destruction, and fiscal catastrophe that I noted your hero "doubleya" managed to accomplish...even with his great grades at Yale as you so proudly proclaim. Ain't that enough for ya..:p ..Anything else, chickenhawk?? LOL

Everyone slips/stutters/stammers and mis-speaks every now and then. But, those, my friend, are jewels. LOL.

If they are all legitimate, Bush ought to frame 'em up in case anyone accuses him of being at the top of this list.
