There is definitely no way the winner of Nieminen/Srichaphan will trouble Federer, seeing as how good he is playing right now, so Federer is pretty much set to make the finals.

On the other half of the draw, it's a little more open.

With Blake/Andreev and Baghdatis/Nadal left in the quarterfinals, any one of these four has a great chance of making the final against Fed. I'd say Blake has a pretty good shot over Andreev while Nadal vs. Baghdatis will be an interesting match. Neither have played each other before and both seem to enjoy the conditions in Indian Wells. And then the winner will have their hands full against Blake (most likely).

I pick Nadal to make the final in a very close three-set win over Blake after playing a tight straight setter over Baghdatis. But then again, I never predicated Baghdatis taking out Roddick (well maybe I did), Ljubicic (no way), and Nalbandian (absolutely not) in succession at the Australian. We'll just have to see.

And while waiting, let's hear some more opinions about this.

To me it's between Blake and Nadal. Something tells me Blake might get through. He's on a hot streak right now, Nadal couldn't handle those huge forehands at the Open, and Nadal is having some foot problems. But you can never dismiss Nadal. Federer hits a pretty killer forehand too and Nadal seems to handle it.

I think Nadal is the favorite to win the Pac Life Open.

Nadal is playing too well at the moment. I think he's better than he was last year. I don't see Blake taking him down, but I do see Federer beating him in the best of five final. Nadal won't be able to last long enough. It might go to five.

Hopefully Nadal and Federer for me. I think it's just an interesting match up to watch.

How can you go wrong? SPOILER alert.

Any combination of Blake, Nadal...Paradorn, Federer? Greatness. What a tournament. Obviously Federer/Nadal would be the most eagerly awaited matchup. 1 vs 2. Different styles. SO good for the sport. Nice for the crowds, and the worldwide tv ratings as well.

But the underdog lover in me would love to see Paradorn and Blake duke it out too. What? They could pull an upset.
