Vada dunked in coffee? Sounds disgusting. How can oil and coffee go together?
I certainly hope so
I was just making a dig at your post about calling a pancake uttapam. I believe some people in the US dunk their donuts in coffee. So i was dunking a vada.
Dunking sweet things like donuts and biscuits (in the UK sense) makes sense. I was shocked about vadas. Dunking vadas in sambar and chutney makes sense, but coffee sounded very odd.
Breakfast after a rave?
Flapjack be nimble, Flapjack be quick
Otherwise Flapjack won't have a candlestick!
Pancakes are nothing without butter and a good syrup.
Favorite butter: I Can't Believe It's Not Butter... butter
Syrup: The portly ole gal... Mrs. Butterworth.
On occasion I like Aunt Jamama syrup.
She ain't djur momma...she's your aunt!
That gif is sooooo annoying !!!!!
I might not enter this thread till it goes back a page.
I will pass on the pancakes and get some crepes instead
Exactly. They are just tasteless pieces of dough. I don't like them.
Post it on the Bistro thread!
You should stop putting that "Nadal Juice" on them
Oh boy I sure do like pancakes! One aspect I really like about them is you may put varieties of foods in the batter. My favorite fruit to put in the batter would have to be strawberries; it just turns out deliciously.
a picture of some pancakes they made for me while I was in the hospital in Ireland
Apparently I got special treatment because I had an American accent:mrgreen:
count me in.
Who here actually makes pancakes at home?
I don't but my housemate does. I love to eat it with smokey bacon and soaked in maple syrup.
Amen. Lately I'm loving waffles too.
A waffle is like a pancake with a syrup trap.
Isn't pancakes super high in Fat and Cholesterol.....? for that reason I stay away from them.....
especially International house of pancakes..............those pancakes will give you heartattack within 7-10 days,,,,studies have proven this.............published in JAMA.
i like crepes.
That's why I like to deep fry my pancakes after putting lots of maple syrup, peanut butter, and bacon in it. Then i have a plate of french fries alongside since vegetables are good. Ketchup and Mayo, loads of it since tomatoes are good. A few egg yolks double fried in bacon fat, since yolks are full of iron and vitamin B.
I finally wash it down with an icecream shake, chocolate fudge with a lot of sweetened whipped cream.

I do! It's very fun on a week end morning making them.
There's a guy somewhere on the web who sculpts in setting pancake batter in the pan much like baristas do with milk foam coffees but with more complex designs. It's amusing.
