Vada dunked in coffee? Sounds disgusting. How can oil and coffee go together?

I was just making a dig at your post about calling a pancake uttapam. I believe some people in the US dunk their donuts in coffee. So i was dunking a vada.

Dunking sweet things like donuts and biscuits (in the UK sense) makes sense. I was shocked about vadas. Dunking vadas in sambar and chutney makes sense, but coffee sounded very odd.

Pancakes are nothing without butter and a good syrup.

Favorite butter: I Can't Believe It's Not Butter... butter
Syrup: The portly ole gal... Mrs. Butterworth.

On occasion I like Aunt Jamama syrup.

Exactly. They are just tasteless pieces of dough. I don't like them.

Oh boy I sure do like pancakes! One aspect I really like about them is you may put varieties of foods in the batter. My favorite fruit to put in the batter would have to be strawberries; it just turns out deliciously.

I don't but my housemate does. I love to eat it with smokey bacon and soaked in maple syrup.

That's why I like to deep fry my pancakes after putting lots of maple syrup, peanut butter, and bacon in it. Then i have a plate of french fries alongside since vegetables are good. Ketchup and Mayo, loads of it since tomatoes are good. A few egg yolks double fried in bacon fat, since yolks are full of iron and vitamin B.

I finally wash it down with an icecream shake, chocolate fudge with a lot of sweetened whipped cream.

There's a guy somewhere on the web who sculpts in setting pancake batter in the pan much like baristas do with milk foam coffees but with more complex designs. It's amusing.
