Who says Vince Spadea is not an intellectual?

    You know how Jim Courier used to read novels, literature, or study French during the changeovers when he was playing on the pro tour? Well, I consider Courier to be a pretty smart guy and probably the most intellectual of all the tennis commentators on TV.



    Then, there's Vince Spadea. Here he is during a changeover during his QF match against Roddick at the SAP Open. My guess is that what he's reading is certainly not helping his already less than stellar reputation for intellectual prowess. :-(

    But hey, at least he's a "smart" dresser on the court, and you've gotta love the way he accessorizes, too! ;)

    This is a truelly stupid question, but how do u pronounce Spadea is it SPADE-A or SPA-DEE-A or sumthing else?

    Right right - someone called him Spudeya and he corrected it - got confused over there ....
