I was watching Lapenti play today and it dawned on me that wearing a backwards facing cap is a relatively new phenomenon. I can't remember anyone earlier than the 90's doing this. Anyone up for a little history?
Also who in the top 100 regularly don the backwards cap?
    This might be fun

Marc Goellner is the name I was looking for. I remember watching him play at Indian Wells in either 92 or 93 and think this is the first time I ever saw the backwards hat.
This guy was going to be the next Becker as I recall but didn't climb to high in the rankings. I think Berndt Karbacher was better but talk about a funky game..

My early recollections of the 80s were of all the Swedish guys wearing the caps backward to cope with the heat @ Australian Open...

Nadal rocks the backward during practice and sometimes when playing doubles.
