"The Grand Slam" or 4 majors a year for the next 25 years. Get ready for a quarter century of one man tennis! Now who's that one man gonna be? I can tell you this much; it won't be Nadal.

What? Take a great 17 year old like Becker was and mold him into a grand slam champ. By 42 years old, 100 majors or 25 "grand slams" is achievable.

    I said 100 majors, not a contract for 100 T&A flicks.

Well, you didn't specify singles majors, so if you can create the ultimate singles AND doubles player, they will win 3 majors per major tournament considering they win the singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. So..... 3*4=12
100/12=8.33, so, they can win 100 majors in less than 9 years. But whoever does it better end up in the hall of fame.

If that's the case, Martina already has 100 majors under her belt.

Philippoussis could do it potentially, and Jonas Bjorkman seems capable as well. I mean they'll have to figure out how to win on clay but at the rate they are going I don't see why not.

Well you guys, the answer is simple. I consulted with my crystal orb and one name appeared: Mariano Puerta (with juice).

Bjon Borg already offered his on sale... So technically Someone like Billgates can do it with a few cheques.

If we are talking about player actually winning 100 grandslams....we have quite a few players who can easily win 4 grandslams a year for the next 25 yrs. It is not that difficult. (j/k)

    You would need someone with:

    Roddick's serve
    Federer's forehand
    Dent's volley
    Nalbandian's backhand
    Nadal's speed

We could kidnapp them and cut them up and make this beast.

All you need is Federer, combined with Nadal levels of topspin when he feels like it, with Nadal's speed and tenacity. That guy will win 100 majors.

    LOL, this is hillarious.

But here's the reality: Jesus Christ Himself, if he came back and decided to take up tennis, couldn't win 100 grand slams within the human lifetime (alrighty, maybe he could, but I'm making a point).

On the other hand, 25 grand slams isn't as ridiculous as it sounds. If you read history books on tennis, you'll know that in many ways, guys like Laver could have been considered to have actually "won" (or easily had the ability to win) many more Grand Slams had they not been prevented from competing. I believe Moose Maloney informed me of this, in one particularly informative post of his.

Bah. Upon reading the title, I expected it to be a clever pun on "100" being the the binary equivalent of 4 in regular decimal notation.

It was not the case, and no one else seems to have picked up on it either.

I think that if nadal could get frozen cryogenically, and come back 100 years in the future, he would win teh grand slam many times. This is possible if all the surfaces continued to be slowed down to red clay eventually. That is of coarse, if andre agassi and stefi grafs son has a grandchild with some other super-talented female player.

Oh, I am pretty sure that Tursunov is going to have ATLEAST 150. The really incredible part is he is only going to win one a year.
