Anyone know why Gasquet is playing qualies? His current entry rank is 43, and the ranking of the 8th seed in that tournament is 53! So a qualifier could be ranked higher than one of the seeds?

...did he just not enter the tournament early enough and they didn't want to give him a wildcard?

Some of his fans have said he wanted the matches, so he decided to take a chance going through qualies.

I'm going with Almagro over Hewitt or Simon in the final.
