singh is pretty solid, but you have to like de bakker's chances on any surface. his results are so consistent, he's almost like the junior fed. he even went into the aussie open on a 21 match win streak, and he an play any surface. i believe his only losses this year, at least the only ones i can think of at the moment were to sidorenko, #4 seed, whos out of wimby junior, sessagesimi, and philip bester in the french. the kid who won the french, #2 seed martin kilzan is already out so that gives a little bit more hope to everyone in the field.

I doubt many of us have seen all these players to make an informed decisision. The only player I have seen play out of that list is Donald Young and he got pummeled in an ATP match :)

no way dude. there are several juniors who could beat him pretty badly as a matter of fact. de bakker is much more solid all around, marin cilic is way ahead of young but doesn't play juniors anymore even though he is still eligible. even both robin roshardt and petru luncanu beat young on hard several months ago (luncanu won 6-3, 6-3). young doesn't even compare to many juniors on clay, going out in the 3rd round of rolland garros to the #32 junior in the world who was owned 6-1, 6-1 by the eventual winner and current world #2 (who lost in wimby first round btw), martin klizan.

    Robin Roshardt!:D

Well most likely not, but I can hope can't I?:p

I mean he didn't do too hot last week in Roehampton (lost 2nd round), but he's done fairly well overall lately, beating Nicolas Lapentti 2 weeks ago in a challenger match and getting to the quarters of the junior FO, so maybe he can still do well at Wimbly.:)

I don't know, but one day we may be nominating Phil Bester and Luka Belic for the coolest names thread.
Sanam Singh also has a ring...to it.
Although, if he ever has a male child, will he be called the Son of Sanam?

Nope, not at all... there are plenty of good juniors that never make the cut as pros.

You don't consider ranked #23 that good? I think that any top 50 pro is a great success.

i think federer won wimbledon singles and doubles as a junior ...
check out florin mergea at atptennis.com he also won singles and doubles and was no2 as a junior...
was defeated in AO juniors final by baghdatis ... he is now struggling at futures and 25k challangers while baghdatis is No. 16

i think its obvious that it doesn't guarantee you success on the pro tour. i mean anything can happen, but it just gives you a little bit of an edge because if you think about it, these juniors are going to be what the pro tour is made up of in the next several years and whoever is dominating the junior tour and winning the slams, that just means that they are currently better than the rest of the juniors/future tour players. so watch out, you're more than likely going to see some of these names shortly doing damage in the atp.

what i'm wondering is whether we'll be seeing some of these guys on the tour in a couple years. i was looking through the itf juniors site and I saw some familiar names on the year-end top 10...fed,ancic,roddick,coria,nalby,gonzo (doubles),massu....
